January kit previews with Bonnie

Hello all! Bonnie aka Cinnabon here to share my first 2 DT projects with you, using the January Kit! This kit is so shabby chic yummy it is sure to delight! It has made my debut to C'est Magnifuique Kits a pleasure!

My first layout is called "Jacob", featuring my great nephew Jacob! If you are a follower of mine you will have seen this cutie patutie before. With all the gorgeous flowers in the kit I decided that a boy layout can have flowers too, and still be masculine! I had lots of fun using the stencil from the Embellishment Add-on with some molding paste and some gelatos

close ups:

As an extra touch I used the Blue Fern Studios butterflies that came in the Embellishment Add-on and I wet them down and peeled some of the layers apart for some extra shabbiness! I then used embossing enamel on them.

To create this layout I used the Main Kit, Flower add-on, and Embellish Add-on. From my own stash I used: corrugated cardboard, gesso, light molding paste, short strand of black pearls, distress ink, embossing enamel and Gelatos.

For my second project I altered this paper box. I call this  a "Memory Trinket Box", great for a little girl who wants to save those oh so precious treasures she finds! It was time to get into the yummy pink papers in this kit!

The white paper with the chairs on the bottom were screaming at me to be used on this trinket box! I used a few different pink Stickles to make them sparkle just a little more!

 close ups:

To complete this trinket box I used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on, the Embellishment Add-on, and the pink roses from the Magnificque Mixed Media Add-on that I already had in my stash.  From my stash I used: Prima stencil, gesso, molding paste, paper doily, Memory Box die, mists, chalk ink, Stickles, Pearl pen, embossing enamel, and the title came from a box that had a birthday gift in it from my aunt.

The full reveal is on the 30th, so please check back to see what the whole kit includes! I am sure you will be as in love with this kit as all of us designer are! I hope that I have is some way inspired you to get creative with this amazing kit!

Be Blessed!

January Magnifique Mixed Media Kit w/Erin Blegen

Good morning! We're getting close to the full reveal of this month's kit, and I have for you today a project that I created using the January Magnifique Mixed Media Kit. I decided to use the 5"x7" canvas that comes with this kit and create a simple, pretty piece for my wall. I hope you like it :)

"Winter's Thaw"
I was inspired by the cool, wintery blues in this kit and feel that the pretty pinks are the perfect offset to them. It made me think of winter turning into spring, which is what I was going for here in this canvas.

The Primary Elements are very easy to control. You start by putting some of the Acrylic Glaze into a dish and add a very small amount of the Primary Elements powder. Continue adding until the desired depth of color is reached. I simply used my finger to apply, blending into the canvas along the edges and over the subtly masked area. Get creative and experiment! What's great about canvas is if you make a mistake, simply throw some gesso over it and start over! ;)

I loved using the "African Jade" Silks for a brighter splash of color. I prefer to use more saturated colors sparingly, to draw the eye but not take over. Apply them beneath clusters and other elements on your project.

Karita´s first projects for C´est Magnifique

Hi everyone,
it´s Karita here with my very first C´est Magnifique reveal!
These three projects are made with January kit - including gorgeous papers from Fabscrap.

In this first layout, you can see how much I love to play with flowers and other embellishments.
Also I love to play with textures, so I think Magnifique Mixed Media kit is definitely made for me.

For this layout I used the January main kit, flower add-on, embellishment add-on and Magnifique Mixed Media kit.
From my stash: gesso and twine

Tearing paper and layering, something I just can´t resist to do.
This layout turned to be a "jeans" kind of thing. Perhaps this has something to do with what my hubby is wearing in the picture.

For this layout I used  the January main kit, flower add-on, embellishment add-on and Magnifique Mixed Media kit.
From my stash: gesso, modelling paste, twine, black mist, heart punch

My third project is canvas.
I totally felt in love with these chipboards from Blue Fern Studio, so I wanted to create something where I can use them all together.

For this canvas I used the January main kit, Magnifique Mixed Media kit, flower add-on and embellishment add-on.
From my stash: mod podge, gesso

Okay, that´s all from me for now.
Please stay tuned for more sneak peeks to come from the Design Team!

January Kit Creations with Tracey

Hello! Tracey here and I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season!
I'm so excited to share with you some of my pages using the January C'est Magnifique kit. This kit really speaks to my shabby heart with its muted shades of blue, sage, pink and white. The papers come from Fabscraps and they mix and match effortlessly.
 Here is my first page:

I knew I had to scrap this pic when I saw the colors! The white lace that lines the "curtains" is from from my stash and everything else is found in the kit and add-ons. Here's a close-up so you can see the dimension with the folds:

My next page features my sweet niece, Vivien and more of the blue and white palette.

The kit comes with Invilde Bohlme "Attic Dust" ink and "Azure" acrylic silk glaze. I edged and highlighted with the ink and splattered the page with the paint and Lindy's Stamp Gang mists.

Page #3 was inspired by a sketch by Tammy Henderson and uses the sage and pink shades.

I kept the Blue Fern Chippie simple and whitewashed to go with my "summer" feel.
I love the shabby white frames and chose to fill them with the reverse side of the papers and used as mats.

The pink died ribbon comes with the kit and brings out the pink in the flower cluster. Pretty, pink and girly!

My last Layout for today is of my beautiful daughter,Naomi at our Fall photo shoot.

Lots of layers and misting happening here.

I left the butterfly chippies bare and added the white lace and cheesecloth from my stash. I love the natural feel to this one.

That's all I have for today!
The full reveal will be December 30, come back and see all the yummy goodies in this beautiful kit!
Have a very Merry Christmas!

A few of Vicky's January kit Projects

Hi, Vicky blogging today to share a few of my first projects made with the very pretty January kit - featuring gorgeous Fabscraps papers. Warming... I love PINK. I was so thrilled to scrap my daughter with pink, pink, pink. So, I grabbed some toddler pictures of her and off I went (she is now 5 years old) .

In my first layout, I used my favourite papers in this kit and paired them with some doilies from my stash. By the way, there are so many gorgeous flowers in the add-on kit! I also really like the black letters and bling in the main kit - to make things contrast with the light tones of the papers.

For my second layout, I layered some doilies from my stash and added more gorgeous flowers from this kit. Oh my... it is flower heaven... the large white flowers are included in the main kit! I also love how this paper looks aged and stamped on without having to pull out any ink... just a little distressing and voila - instant shabby chic!

Well, that's all the sneaks I have for today, but I have more projects in the works for the big reveal at the end of the month. Until then... happy holidays everyone!

January Kit Sneak Projects from Sandi ...

Hi, everyone! Sandi Clarkson here today to share my sneak peek layouts using the January Kit here at C'est Magnifique. This kit is shabby to the max and such a dream to work with!

First up is a layout of my youngest daughter and focusing on a sweet backstory of a compass that she and her hubby passed back and forth until their wedding day.  I loved getting a little inky and messy on this one! The embellishments were so perfect for a page centered around love and romance.

"True North"

close-ups:
To complete this layout, I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I have used: Gesso, stencil, molding paste, mist, computer, die cut machine and card stock.

Next, I changed color schemes and went with the pinks, whites and greys from the kit and add-ons. This is my little granddaughter Marianne decorating Christmas cookies last year. I am totally in love with that grey blinged out flower! Swoon!!

"Made from Scratch"

closies:
To complete this layout, I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I have used: stencil, molding paste, mist, punches and card stock.

And then ... I decided to go artsy and have some fun making my own background.  I started it off with some almost dry Gesso that I smeared here and there, added my molding paste and used the stencil from the Embellishment Add-on. The mists are some Lindy's Stamp Gang (Industrial Chic) that was a recent special order on the C'est Magnifique Forum. The photo is my cutie-pie niece, Karen.

"Memories"

close-ups:
To complete this layout, I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I have used: Gesso, molding paste, mists and stamps.

That's it from me today! I hope you found some inspiration that you can use in your own creative journey! Stay tuned to C'est Magnifique Blog for more sneak projects from the Design Team!
