Olga's June Kit Projects and Mixed Media Layout Tutorial

Hello everyone! Olga here with you today. I want to share the layouts I created with the June Kit. I also have a mixed media layout tutorial to share!

I made a page about the wonderful and long-awaited summer.

I chose a piece of paper - Blue Fern Studios "Friperies" - and applied acrylic gel to the portion of the page that will be painted in the next step.

I applied texture gel over a stencil onto the dry acrylic gel. Then, I seletced a few favorite colors of alcohol inks for a bright background.

After I finished coloring the paper with alcohol inks, I added decoration - flowers, lace, a photo, cut out paper flowers and tangled threads. I added stamping with archival black ink and Rub-On Transfers to the background.

I used Glossy Accents to attach sequins and Kaisercraft Pearl Brads to the page.

I used acrylic gel to brush on the very beautiful lavender Glitter from C'est Magnifique. It is absolutely stunning and adds a tender and delicate glow. I love it!

The final part of the work - splatters of mist and alcohol inks and ink on the edges of the paper with Distress Ink. I also added Alphabet Stickers from the Prima Sticker Sheet.

I also made two pages in the same style as the first.

Thank you for your attention! I hope you find this tutorial inspirational! I have really enjoyed playing with this kit! If you are interested in the June Kit or Add-Ons a limited amount of kits are available for purchase from the C'est Magnifique Store while supplies last!

Trash to Treasure Tuesday with Deonna

Hi C'est Magnifique fans! Deonna here today sharing a "trash to treasure" project tutorial. I had a lot of fun upcycling a ceramic bird with patterned papers and embellishments that I had leftover from the November Kit.

Step One: Bend a twist tie into a loop and secure to the top of the bird to create a hook for hanging.

Step Two: Mix white PVA glue with water.

Step Three: Tear patterned paper into small strips and saturate with the glue solution.

Step Four: Add pieces of patterned paper to the bird until completely covered. Let Dry.

Step Five: Paint the twist tie with acrylic paint.

Step Six: Seal the bird with a clear coat of glaze.

Step Seven: Glue feathers to the tail.

Step Eight: Add twine bows to the tail.

I finished the bird with some pastel roses and hand-drawn eyes.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Olga's March Kit Projects and Mixed Media Layout Tutorial

Hello everyone! Olga here today sharing new works!
I want to share how to made this mixed media layout with the March Kit.
I made a page about my favorite paint sprays and my cheerful mood when I create.

I used the "Bolero" piece of paper from the Betsy's Couture Collection. I painted it with white gesso in the places where there will be all the decorations.

I distressed the top right edge of the patterned paper, placed another piece of patterned paper behind the distressed area and attached the papers together using a stapler. I like to use staples as an additional embellishment in my work.

To create an interesting layered photo mat, gather pieces of patterned paper, book sheets and thick chipboard and secure in several places with glue and a staples.

Add color and pattern to the background of the page using a mask, an ink pad and stamps.

Attach the matted photo over the large stamped area. Placed tangled thread and twine over the photo and attach with paper clips and staples.

Use Glossy Accents to attach buttons and sequins. Add stickers from the Betsy's Couture Sticker Sheet next to the photo and to the top right corner.

Ink the edges of the paper with Distress Ink and draw a dotted line to simulate stitching.

The final part of the work - splatters of mist!

I have made two layouts and a series of ATCs. This layout is about my daughter Maria.

On this layout I used a stencil, stamps, gesso, thread ink.

ATCs - portraits of vintage ladies are cut from a sheet Betsy's Couture Peplum patterned paper.

Thank you for your attention! I hope you find this tutorial inspirational! I have really enjoyed playing with this kit, because I love vintage prints and colors!
