Nov 2011 Papers and Add-Ons

November is bringing us some beautiful papers from Sultane out of France! Take a look at how gorgeous these are:

These papers are truly a fussy cutter's dream and although I am not a big 'fussy cutting' type of person, I really just can't wait to dig in myself! I am anxious to see what our designers come up with as well!

Here also are our add-ons for the month:

The papers are different enough that you could use just about any type of photos, but we focused on the Fall season during November. What fun for your Thanksgiving and pumpkin patch photos!

We've post a new challenge....

Guest designer, JJ Sobey has posted our challenge for this week:

This week's challenge is a scraplift challenge - with a twist! You know how sometimes you make a page and think - "wow, I really like how that turned out!" Go find that page, and scraplift yourself!! There is no reason you can't scraplift yourself, and here's your official permission. Head to our forum for all the details.

Our other October guest designer, Lisa Duke, is the winner of the 'Use that Basic Grey' challenge with this layout using the Curio line. Congratulations Lisa! Your layout is beautiful!

C'est Magnifique Challenge Updates

Congratulations to Sherrie Suttles for being the winner of the Ad Challenge. Her layout, "All About the Yellow", was inspired by the colors in the ad, especially yellow!

Design team member Beverly Sams has posted the first challenge for October - a "Team Spirit" challenge. Here are the details:

Hi, Everyone!

This week we'd like you to create a layout based on your favorite team colors. I know not everyone is into football so ANY sports or activity team you like would be acceptable. Unless they're against my team. Just Kidding! No matter whether it's a National, High School, Pee Wee League, your child or grandchild's soccer team, stock car racing, cheer leading, glee club, just whatever activity that has a team and colors.

You will have until midnight EST (New York City time zone) Sunday, Oct. 16th to complete your project. Please upload it to the October "Team Spirit" folder in the gallery and be sure to also post it here in this thread so we can all see it. The winner, chosen by the design team, will be announced here and on the Blog and will receive a RAK from C'est Magnifique!

Have fun with it and can't wait to see what you create!

Speaking of Beverly, here is a layout she created using the October kit, Last Song of Summer. It's beautiful how she used the shades of green in the kit.

Introducing...Last Song of Summer

This month, the bulk of our kit papers are coming to us direct from France! The company's name is Onirie and as soon as I lay eyes on the deep greens and blues, I fell in love! We also incorporated some papers from Prima, My Mind's Eye and Bo Bunny!

So without further ado...

Here are a few close-ups as well:

October Sketch

This month we are happy to feature a sketch, created just for C'est Magnifique Kits, by JJ Sobey (who also happens to be one of our guest designers in October).

We hope you will use the October kit, Last Song of Summer, and create a layout using the sketch. All the details can be found in our Forum.

Oct 2011 Guest Designers

I am so pleased to announce our October Guest Designers: JJ Sobey and Lisa Duke!! Lisa has a beautiful, soft, romantic style to her layouts while JJ has a more bold, colorful and fun style. I am so anxious to see what both of these women bring to our Oct kit - I am sure we will all be awed!

In the meantime though, here is a short bio of each of them:

JJ has been crafting in one form or another since she was big enough to hold a crayon. She resisted scrapbooking and papercrafting for many years because she knew just how addictive it would be – no surprise, now she’s hooked. Most of her work revolves around her two young kids, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. She is always pleasantly surprised to find out how her previous hobbies of sewing and costume-making really translate over to papercrafts. Her style is often described as eclectic, because she loves to try different things, frequently mixing shabby chic with grunge or freestyle. She has recently started dabbling in mixed media and art journaling.

Besides scrapping, she is also addicted to Starbucks, sushi, and loud rock music.

Hello!! My name is Lisa and I live in the Sierra Foothills with my husband and I'm very lucky to have my kids here also. I have a son and daughter and 2 beautiful grandchildren. I started scrapbooking in 2003 but then got into other things (daughter was very busy with different programs), but for the last 2 years I have been scrapping nearly everyday. I love all the different styles but have to say the Shabby Chic style is my fav. I try and scrap in this style most of the time but I also LOVE ink and may apply too much for the shabby look!!!

I am so honored to be a guest designer for C'est Magnifique. This is my first GDT spot so I am really excited.
