Challenge Update

Our stitching challenge ended yesterday, and we'd like to congratulate Angela whose name was chosen in a random draw.  Here's the beautiful layout she created for this challenge:

New Challenge Information

How do you scrapbook? Do you like to use recent photos? I tend to use photos that are relatively new, and don't use older photos as much. This week we are challenging you to use an old photo - let's say a photo that is at least 5 years old. I know many of you probably have photos much older than that, and we would love to see them! The only other requirement is that your layout must be newly created for this challenge.

You may upload one layout for this challenge. Please upload your layout to the folder in the gallery for this challenge. We would also love to see them posted in our forum, as well. The deadline to submit your layout for this challenge is Sunday, February 19th by midnight EST (New York City time). The winner, chosen by a random draw, will receive an RAK from C'est Magnifique.

February Bits and Pieces

We are starting a new give-away that will take place ONLY on our blog.  On the 5th of each month we will be posting a photo of everything that Leslie, the owner of C'est Magnifique, has remaining after creating layouts with the kit for that month.  It will include kit items, as well as items from the embellishment and flower add-ons.

So, if you weren't able to get your hands on the February kit, now's your chance to win the bits and pieces remaining from Leslie's kit.  Or, if you did receive this kit, and would like to add to it, you have a chance to win, too.

Take a look at everything Leslie is giving away (and she will ship it to you free of charge, anywhere in the world!)  Please note that you will receive partial pieces of paper, embellishments, flowers, etc.  It's her way of passing along the bits and pieces from her kit.

Our Sketch Challenge Winner

It started out as a good idea...........the design team would vote to select the winning layout in our very first sketch challenge, and I would announce it on the blog today. Sounds easy enough, but it didn't work out that way. The five members of the design team and C'est Magnifique owner, Leslie, each cast their vote. After six votes we had a 3-way tie. Oh no, what do we do? Well first, let me show you the three [AMAZING] layouts that received votes.  These layouts are listed in the order in which they were uploaded to the challenge folder in the gallery:

First is a layout titled "Just l Little Patience" by Georgia from Australia:

Second, is US scrapper Erin Blegen's take on our January sketch with her layout titled "Remember":

And the third layout is from Scrappyhappymom3 from Canada, titled "Journey":

Three amazing women, three different countries, three beautiful layouts, and a three-way tie.  In reality you are are three winners, but we can only select one of you to win this month's prize of a $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique store.

February Sketch

Who doesn't love a sketch?  Design team member, Nadia Cannizzo, has created another great sketch for us to use in February.  We would love to see your layout using this sketch.  You do not need to be a member of C'est Magnifique to participate in our sketch challenge.  You are welcome to use any supplies you have in your stash, but if you are the winner and it is obvious that you used any one of our kits - the prize will be DOUBLED!!!

Please upload your entries to our gallery in the February 2012 Sketch Challenge folder.  We would also love to see it in our forum.  This challenge will run for the entire month of February.  Layouts must be upload prior to midnight (EST) on February 29th. 

The prize will be $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique store (or $20 if a kit is used to create your layout).  The winning layout will be selected by the design team, with the winner announced by March 5th.  Good luck and have fun with this one!

Echoes of Winter - Our February Kit

Challenge Update

Congratulations to Bellaidea for being chosen the winner of our misting challenge with this beautiful layout:

As the winner of this challenge, Bellaidea will receive a RAK from C'est Magnifique. 

Now it's time to announce our new challenge.   We had so much fun seeing your holiday cards and tags that we decided to do the same thing for Valentine's Day.  So, create some cards and tags for us to see!  The tags could be something you plan to use on a layout, card, or gift.  An ATC would also fit this category.  Because we know you have so much love to spread around, you can create and upload up to 5 entries for this challenge. 

There aren't many rules, but we do want you to upload something that is newly created.  There will be a folder in the gallery and we ask that you upload your layouts there.  We'd also love for you to post it in this thread, as well.

The deadline to submit your cards, tags, or ATCs is Sunday, February 12th by midnight EST (New York City time).  The winner, chosen by a random draw, will receive an RAK from C'est Magnifique.

"Simple and Sweet Memories" by Valerie Serfozo

Happy Thursday everyone.  Only one day until the weekend begins, and for me that means more time to scrap. 

Kits will be shipping to our members very soon and I'm sure all of you will love this beautiful paper from Riddersholm Designs. 

The colors in this kit are amazing, and so easy to work with.  I quickly found photos that are perfect against the deep purple in this paper, like this one of my niece.

Add-ons include the large Prima flower, leaves and lamp post, as well as the small pink flowers. 

If you haven't yet participated in our monthly sketch challenge, you have until January 31 to create a layout using our January sketch.  All the details can be found in THIS post.
