A Layout from Kristie

Today we're going to show you what Design Team member, Kristie Taylor, created with the March kit:

Kristie said, "This is my sister in law.  She is such a sweet person.  I used the cardstock stickers from the add-ons and several small pieces of the beautiful paper to make the layers.  I distressed the edges and added some of the pink paint from the kit to the edges. I used a fringe scissor to one strip of paper to add some texture. I then cut some banner shapes from the paper and added a piece of twine from my stash to hold it.

Nadia's layout using the March kit

Today we are going to share a layout by another member of our Design Team, Nadia Cannizzo.  The March kit, featuring paper from Pion Designs, sold out very quickly after it was announced.  When I checked the store this afternoon there was still one pack of paper from this kit remaining, as well as a few items from the add-ons (including a few Manor House flowers). 

Here's Nadia's description of her "New Friends" layout:


"Here is a layout I created using a photo of our recent holiday to Melbourne. While there we met my scrappy friend Jasmine Shea for the first time and she has 4 GORGEOUS children. I went for a monochromatic look here as I kind of wanted to give that "old feel" or a "vintage feel" to the layout to express my desire I guess that we will see this beautiful family again and hope to stay friends for a long time.

I put my Martha Stewart and Fiskars paper punches to good use here as I was trying to create a detailed and layered vintage effect."

A Preview of our March, 2012 Kit and Add-ons

We are very excited to give you a first look at our March kit, "A Breath of Spring".  We will be featuring beautiful paper from Pion Designs.  C'est Magnifique has not yet carried paper from this Swedish company but you are sure to fall in love with it.  The detail in these papers is amazing.  Unfortunately this kit has already sold out.

We would also like to show you our March add-ons.  Both of our add-ons have sold out, but there are individual items available in our store.  These items are sure to sell out quickly.  If you'd like to have some of these shipped with your kit, head over to the store and order them soon.

Here's what Camilla had to say about this layout - "This is a photo of the beach we stayed at in our trip to Thailand this Christmas. The colours go so well together with the gorgeous papers from Pion design. I chose a rather simple design to make the photo show."

Challenge Update

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  Our recently ending challenge was to show us a Valentine card or tag.  Congratulations to Heather, the winner of the challenge.  She will be receiving an RAK from C'est Magnifique.  Heather shared five cards with us, and here is one of them, "Heart Breaker":

New Challenge Information


Heather's card is the perfect intro to this week's challenge.  We are challenging you to create a layout using Valentine's Day colors - red and pink.  We would like to see your layout that is predominately red, pink, or a combination of the two colors.  You may use any accent colors you choose.  Please upload only newly created layouts for this challenge.The colors are the only other requirement.  Everything else is up to you! 

You may upload one layout for this challenge, which ends on Sunday, February 26 at midnight (US EST).  Please upload your layout to our Gallery where we have created a folder for this challenge. 

The winner, chosen by a random draw, will receive an RAK from C'est Magnifique!

February Bits & Pieces Winner

The Scrap Cake

We are so excited to announce that we have 2 new collections from The Scrap Cake available in our store.  Both collections are ready to ship to you!
