The March Magnifique Mixed Media Kit w/Erin

Hi everyone :)

Erin Blegen here with you today to share a project using the March Magnifique Mixed Media kit. If you recall, this kit is like a breath of fresh spring air- and just in time.

I thought I would help you out with an idea as to how to put the cute little glass bottles included in this month's kit to use. I decided on a reverse canvas as the wooden stretcher bars were the perfect little shelf for my bottles to sit on :).

"Make Someone Happy Today" Canvas
I used the blue Pearlescent Liquid Acrylic ink to decorate the blue bottle. Simply squeeze a couple of droplets inside, replace the cork, and give it a shake. The inside of the bottle will be coated in ink, giving it a nice and even coloring. I dabbed the outside of the bottle with gesso before securing some sticks with jute twine. The green bottle was first painted with gesso before spraying the outside with the Lindy's Stamp Gang "Edelweiss Moss Green" mist included in the kit.

A hot glue gun was all I needed to secure these bottle in place.

The Blue Fern Studios chipboard was decorated with a variety of colored microbeads.

Twinkling H2Os, including the "Blue Grass" and "Pear Blossom" in the kit helped decorate the edges of my canvas. Simply apply randomly using your fingertip.

I've used vintage book pages to cover the frame. They've been painted with gesso and stamped (with the stamps included in the kit) with distress ink.

The Cosmo Cricket mini word stickers made for quick and easy titling!

A peek at March with Vicky

Hi, Vicky blogging today to share just a few little peeks at some of my creations made with the March kit. This kit is one of my favourites to date and there are so many beautiful treasures to play with.

A toddler napping in a stroller IS a perfect moment. Just look at the gorgeous Prima embellishments in this kit that perfectly match the gorgeous Blue Fern papers! I added a few doilies from my stash to extend the pretty lace paper that I fussy cut.

Next up is a layout made combing the UHK and Blue Fern papers. The collections blend so well together! Again, I added a doily on here to add a bit of texture. I fell in love with this stock image and had to use it for a display layout (for my fireplace mantle this Spring). The lush flowers are from the add-on.

I couldn't resist using my scraps (from the previous 2 layouts) to make a little card too. I added a few little leaves around the flowers (from the flower add-on) to frame the cute little bird graphic. The pearl gems can be found in the embellishment add-on for March.

Well, that's all I'm showing you for today so be sure to check out the full design team reveal on February 28th. You'll be amazed at how versatile this kit is - "see" you soon!

March kit with Camilla

Hi all! I have been playing with the March kit and here are the four layouts.

As background I have used one of the UHK papers and created more patterns using the mask from the mixed media add-on kit and the stamp from the embellishment add-on. The layering underneath the photo is made by using different dies as well as a doily. The chipboard is painted in white. Then I smeared some blue pearl accent on and inked it a bit. Finally I added some glossy accent.

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on, the embellishment add-on and the mixed media add-on.
From my own stash: texture paste, dies, paper doily, leaves, glossy accent, seam binding (bought in the CM store)

In the March kit we get both Polish papers from UHK and the new paper collection from Blue Fern Studios. Here I have used a BFS paper as the background. I have used the mask, the green mist and the stamp from the add-on kits to make some more texture. You can also see some old book pages. I just love the combination of the purple and the turquoise flowers.

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on, the embellishment add-on and the mixed media add-on.
From my own stash: texture paste, leaves, stamp

I went a little crazy with flowers on this layout. LOL It is just that there were so many gorgeous flowers in the kit. And the little girl in the photo is such a little cutie pie. For the background I chose one of the resist papers from UHK. I used the Distress Stain in the MMM kit. Then I stamped and also used texture paste on top of a mask before I added the photo and the embellishments. The BFS chipboards are painted in white and stamped on.

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on, the embellishment add-on and the mixed media add-on.
From my own stash: texture paste, mask, leaves, stamp, old music sheet, seam binding

And finally I made a boy layout for my son. As a background I have used one of the BFS papers. Behind the photo is one of the frames in the kit and the wooden frame, which I painted white and stamped. Isn't the butterfly magnificent?

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on, the embellishment add-on and the mixed media add-on.

March reveal with Bonnie

Hi! It's Bonnie blogging today, and I've been waiting to show you what I have been doing with the March Kit from C'est Magnifique Kits.  This kit has been so much fun to work with, and is so versatile! Its amazing how many different looks you can get with it!

My first layout I want to share with you is called "Yes". The photo is a "selfie" my future daughter-in-law took of her engagement ring. I just loved it so much that I had to scrap it! In this layout I am working with the papers from UHK- just beautiful- and I really love the resist side of them.
To create this layout I used the Main Kit, the Flower Add On, the Embellishment Add On, and the MMM Kit. From my stash I used: mask, molding paste, mists, archival ink, stamp, micro beads, die, border punch, cardstock, crinkled seam binding, fibers, leaves, glossy accents.

Close ups:

For my second project I decided to alter this Tim Holtz clock I had sitting around for ages. I first primed it with gesso and then painted it with white craft paint. I then dribbled mist down the sides and stamped it a bit.
To create this altered object I used the Main Kit, the Flower add on, the Embellishment Kit, and the MMM Kit. From my stash: clipart, gesso, craft paint, mist, archival ink, crinkle seam binding and fibers.

Close ups:
The third project I am sharing with you today is a layout in a Clean and Simple style. This is my great niece Lucia, and she looks like she is off into another world. I got this photo from my SIL's Facebook page and the photo was taken by Petit Oiseau Photography.  So very cute! I did a bunch of fussy cutting, some random stamping and
around the outer edges of the layout I used an embossing enamel to tie into the photo frame.

To create this layout I used the Main Kit, the Flower Add on, the Embellishment Add On and the MMM Kit. From my stash: doily, archival ink, border punch, crackle accents, embossing enamel

Close Ups:
That's it for now, and I hope you enjoyed what I shared. I have more comping up in the near future that I can't wait to share!
Be Blessed!

March kit with Ulrika

I better admit at once that I´m head over heels in love with the March kit! I´m always a bit scared when I´m starting on a new designteam. I don´t want to let anyone down. I´m so happy to be able to create with kits from C´est Magnifique because they are amazing! The colors and every little detail is put together with such a good taste and love. This made my work really flowing and I have four projects to show you today! So it´s a long post but I hope I can give you some nice sneak-peaks on the kit and also some inspiration.

This first page is created with papers from Blue Fern. I wanted to create a really sweet and cute page about Molle when he was a puppie. I did both some fussy cutting and die-cutting with the papers.

I painted the wood frame white and added some pearls. On top of it I let the very pretty Butterfly alight.

I used the pink mist from the main kit for this UHK paper. Then I cut out the Butteflies.

For this page I used supplies from the Main kit, Flower and  Embellishment Add-ons and the Mixed-Media Kit.
From my own stash I used: dies, Gesso, paint and Stickles.

For my next page I cut out circles from a UHK patterned paper. I also layered two more from UHK for my base. I used the brown ink from the Embellie Add-on kit for all edges and the letters.

For this page I used supplies from the Main Kit and also from the Flower Add-on and the Mixed-media kit.

From my own stash I used: Doilies

Some times I love to get my fingers really dirty and play on a canvas!
Here I used lots of fun supplies from the Mixed-media kit! For the flower stems and center pieces I used supplies from the Embellishment Add-on kit. I used stamps from both the MM kit and the Embellie kit. For the flowers I used a paper from Blue Fern.

From my own stash I used: stamp pad, bubble wrapping, canvas, black pen, Gesso, white paint

Are you still with me? I know this been a long post but I really want to show you all how fab the kit is!
To create this page I used a UHK paper as base. I used one stamp in black and also drew a black line around it. Behind the blue paper I used a black Cardstock. I wanted lots of contrasts for this layout. Behind the photo I cut out two tags from a pink Blue Fern paper. I also sprayed two Doilies with the pink mist from the Main Kit. I painted the letters with the blue Acrylic Ink and last I created a winding flower cluster.

For this page I used supplies from the Main Kit, Mixed-media kit, Flower Add-ons and the Embellishment kit.
From my own stash I used: Doilies, circle punch cutter, cardstock, black pen, stamp pad and embossingpowder

Big hugs from Ulrika aka LillBlomman!

A First Look At The New March Kit by Kim Price

Hello! I'm so excited to be sharing my very first projects as part of the C'est Magnifique Design Team using the brand new March kit release. I am totally head over heels in love with everything about this new kit - the papers, the colors, the gorgeous flowers and embellishments - they are all so perfectly me and creating with it has been an absolute pleasure.

I'm a real aqua girl, so I've included all those wonderful shades of blue and green on my first layout using a much loved photograph of my youngest daughter - a "selfie" she took a little while back. The eye contact in this photo is absolutely mesmerizing, so this was my inspiration for my layout title having played with the spelling to include the word "eyes".

A few of my favourite details:

I've used items from the  main kit, the embellishment add-on, the flower add-on and the mixed media kit to complete this layout.

From my stash: 12x12 smooth white cardstock, gesso, dimensional foam dots

For my second project I have mostly used the pink shades in my kit for a completely different look to my first layout. I love that you can create such different pages all from the same kit!

This layout was created using a recent photograph of a couple of my local creative friends and myself after a great morning out together. I was completely inspired by the amazing Prima vine from the main kit, and let my layout evolve around that.

Favourite details:

In my second layout I have used items from the main kit, the embellishment add-on, the flower add-on and the mixed media kit.

From my stash: 12x12 smooth white cardstock, gesso, dimensional foam dots

Thanks for dropping by today, I hope you have enjoyed seeing a few sneak peeks of the March kits!
