One More for the March MMM Kit...

Hi everyone! Erin Blegen here with you today to share my final project using the March Magnifique Mixed Media Kit!

"Just Because. I Love You."
I decided to go with a simple yet elegant card to showcase the subtle side of the possibilities with the mixed media kit.

I spritzed the Lindy's Stamp Gang mist and then just a bit of water before dabbing with a wipe to draw up a little bit of the color. I tilted the card just before dabbing to allow the drips to fall a little bit more as seen here.

I've also used the same mist on one of the white flowers to pull the whole look together.

My flower cluster included plenty of layers between the bows and flowers and the chipboard piece which I cut in half before sticking behind the top and bottom of my cluster.

I hope you've enjoyed the MMM projects this month!
And be on the lookout for our next kit to be revealed SOON :)!

Take care,

Hello everyone,
It´s Karita here and today is my turn to share my projects made with the fabulous March kit called " Between Winter & Spring".

My first layout is all about the Snow!
I used gorgeous papers from UHK, they were so perfect for my snow theme.
I used lots of different textures from the kit and beautiful flowers.
For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on, the embellishment add- on and the Magnifique Mixed Media kit.
From my stash: gesso, border punch, black mist, pencil.

And after the winter comes Summer!
And for this layout I have used the beautiful Blue Fern papers.
More delicious flowers and textures from the kit and add- ons.
For this layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on, the embellishment add-on and the Magnifique mixed media kit.
From my stash: gesso, paper doily.

Summer theme continues and more beautiful flowers.
I used Blue Fern papers and I love those chipboards also from Blue Fern Studios.
Pearls and  few fussy cutted butterflies. And again, lots of textures, yummi!

Website Announcement and February Sketch Challenge Winners

Hi everyone.  I hope your weekend is off to a great start.  Technology is great!! - until it doesn't work properly.  The C'est Magnifique website (forum, store, and gallery) is down right now, and we apologize for any inconvenience it has caused.  Our website has been maliciously attacked and we are busy working on a fix.  We hope to have things up and running soon.  Thanks for your patience.

Now for some good news.  We would like to announce the winners of our February Sketch Challenge.  The winner of the first prize goes to:
Entry #19 belongs to Francine of New Zealand.  Congratulations, you are the winner of this month's awesome prize package.  Please e-mail Leslie{at}cestmagnifiquekits{dot}com and she will give you all the details.  Your prize must be claimed within 7 days.  Here's Francine's layout that she created using our February kit:

Our second prize each month, a $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique Kits Store, is awarded to a participant who uses one of the past kits to create their layout.  Based on a random draw, Becky Wagner is this month's winner.  Congratulations Becky!   Please e-mail Leslie{at}cestbagnifiquekits{dot}com and she will send you your coupon code.  Your prize must be claimed within 7 days.  Take a look at Becky's layout:

We had an awesome assortment of layouts this month from those who participated in the sketch challenge.  It was very difficult to chose 5 layouts to feature, but in the end, we selected the following layouts, in no particular order.  Congratulations to the following:

The first layout we are featuring is "Wonder" by Kathleen White of the US.
We like how Kathleen flipped the sketch, the triangle designs, and the fussy cutting she used.

The second layout we are featuring is "Oh Happy Day', created by Marina Gridasova of Russia.
We couldn't resist this adorable photo and all the happy embellishments.

Our third layout to feature this month is "Remember" by Marilia Lopes of Brazil.
We love the mixed media look of Marilia's layout and the beautiful colors.

The fourth layout we are featuring is "Love You" by Päivi of Sweden.
It's awesome that Päivi created a masculine layout using the February Sketch
and that the pattern on the paper serves as an element of the sketch.

And last, but not least we have chosen, "Cherished Treasures" by Alain Grinchuk of Russia.
We fell in love with the pink roses against the beautiful black background, and the sweet photo.

We truly appreciate each and every one of you who participate in our sketch challenges.  You are all inspiring and very creative scrappers.  Our March sketch has been posted, and we sure hope that each of you will participate again.  You will find a direct link to our sketch in the left sidebar.

Have a great weekend!

Meet our March Guest Designer

Our guest designer this month is someone we know very well at C'est Magnifique.  It is a pleasure to have Caroleanne Wright of the UK creating with our March Kit. Caroleanne is a member of C'est Magnifique Kits and quite active on our message boards.  Her style goes so well with our kits and we thought it was time for everyone to see her beautiful layouts.  We think you will agree when you see the layouts she created with our March Kit.

Caroleanne has a wonderful blog where she features many tutorials and is currently hosting a giveaway.

Caroleanne and her husband recently took a trip to Plymouth Devon and found the steps that the Mayflower sailed from.  Her first three layouts feature photos from that trip.

This layout that Caroleanne created features a photo taken on holiday last summer to Barbados .  The shells added to the layout were collected from the lagoon in the background.

Caroleanne, it has been a joy to have you join the design team as our March guest designer!

March MMM Kit - with Kelly

Good morning, everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start!
I have a couple of projects to show you today using the (Sold out) March MMM Kit. I truly enjoyed the gorgeous spring colors of this kit and the unique combination of mediums we got to play with!
First up, I have used one of those cute glass bottles from the kit to alter. I happened to have purchased a few larger glass bottles recently and decided to use one of those, as well.

Altering the bottles was quite simple. I started by watering down gesso and letting it drip down the outsided of the bottles. I repeated the drips inside and outside with the Daler Rowney Liquid Acrylic from the kit, letting it pool in the bottom of the bottles. I also sprayed here and there with the Lindy's mist from the kit.

The bottles were then hot glued together and wrapped with twine and wire. I glued on a couple of the Blue Fern Studios Bohemian Flowers for simple decoration, and added two word stickers from the Cosmo Cricket sticker sheet.

Next up, is a layout I created, for Blue Fern Studios, but I used items from the MMM Kit and some of the Blue Fern papers from the Main Kit as well.

"Natural Beauty"

I just adore the greens and blues and those sweet little Blue Fern Bohemian Flower pieces. The Prima flowers were altered to match my page using the Lindy's spray and the Twinkling H2O's from the kit.

Thank you so much for having a look at my projects today!

What would a challenge be without prizes, and we have 2 of them!  The winners will be selected by a random draw.  The first prize is this collection of paper, flowers, chipboard, stamps, lace and embellishments.  The winner of the prize package will also be able to shop in the C'est Magnifique Store, and have their purchases sent with the prize package, so that means you won't have to pay for shipping.

Here is this month's prize package:

Our second prize, a $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique Store,  will be awarded randomly to one of our participants who obviously uses one of our kits to create their Sketch Challenge layout.

We will also chose 5 (or maybe more) layouts to feature on our blog!

What do you have to do to enter our sketch challenge?

1.  You must be a follower of our blog.  It's easy to become follower -see the left sidebar.

2.  Create a layout using the sketch, and add it to our blog using the Inlinkz tool below.  Please link to the blog post where you have uploaded your layout  (not your general blog address). If you do not have a blog, you may link to an online gallery.
