July Kit with Cathi

I am so excited to be joining the C'est Magnifique design team this month and wanted to share my last set of projects for the July Sweet Summer Dreams kit!

I love the very different colorways in the gorgeous Blue Fern Ombre Dreams paper, I have two very different colored layouts to share. My first uses the blue and purple colorway. I have used the Main Kit, Flower Add On and Embellishment Add On. Lots of layers here, I even used some of the packaging from flowers and the book page that came in the BoBunny ephemera collection found in the kit.I also added a gorgeous BoBunny fence stamp that was part of the Embellishment Add On.

From my stash: mask, molding paste, mists and stamps.

My next layout features a coral and teal color combination, I just love the look of that color mix!! I used the Main Kit, Flower Add On and Embellishment Add Ons to complete the layout. I think these papers work perfectly with mixed media, so I have added lots of misting masking and splashing for this one!!

From my stash: mask, molding paste, mists and stamp.

I also did three mixed media cards from the Main Kit, Flower Add On and Embellishment Add On. I really enjoyed loading up my cards with molding paste, paint and lots of flowers and embellies!!  These are all friendship themed cards, easily achieved  with the BoBunny Enchanted Garden Combo Stickers in the main kit, along with tons of flowers from the add ons.

From my stash: mask, molding paste, and stamps.

I really enjoyed playing with this kit and am looking forward to next months!!

July kit projects by Vicky Alberto

Hi, Vicky blogging today to share my creations with the truly fantastic July kit.  Soooo many gorgeous flowers selected this month and the new Blue Fern papers are out of this world - really beautiful!  Deonna put together a stellar kit for her first one as the new owner of this amazing kit club.

First up is a summer display layout for my mantle. Everything on this layout (except the vintage ladies) is from the main kit and the flower add-on. There was even some gorgeous green Shimmerz paint to polish off the chipboard as well as cute stamps too!

I used the beautiful kit sketch and rotated it like this...

Don't forget to enter your interpretation of this beautiful sketch for a chance to win a fantastic prize! See details on this C'est Magnifique blog post

My next layout features my favourite papers from the kit as well a a mixture of the gorgeous flowers in the main kit and from the flower add-on. I added a few doilies from my stash to soften around the photo but otherwise, all of the beautiful elements are in the kit. Gotta LOVE the pretty die cuts and crochet buttons - so perfect for a baby layout!

Here is a layout using the fabulous teal and purple in the kit. I made the doily circle with plain cardstock and my MS circle punch (fantastic tool!). The details in these papers are so beautiful and make creating so easy!

There is such a great variety of fun embellishments and colours in the main kit to play with so I decided to make a few cards. On this first one I added a little heart doily from my stash. I made this card for a very good friend of mine.

My second card features more of the pretty die cut stickers and pretty papers in the kit. This was made to accompany a third grade teacher gift.

For my third card, I decided to have some fun and make a double pinwheel. The embellishments in this kit are so fantastic for any type of creative project! This was made to accompany a kindergarten teacher gift.

Thanks for joining me on the blog today and see you next time with projects from the August kit!

July kit with Karita

Hi everyone!
Today is my turn to share few layouts made with the July kit and gorgeous papers from Blue Fern Studios.

On my first layout I´ve used mostly the MMM kit. The kit includes beautiful flowers and great textures, so fun to play with.

For this layout I´ve used the main kit, the MMM kit and the flower add-on.
From my stash: gesso, modelling paste and a doily frame

And here´s my second layout made with the July kit.  This time I wanted to keep my layout as simple as possible. Only some texture and colours on the background with few embellies.
For this layout I´ve used the main kit, the flower add-on, the embellishment add-on and the MMM kit.
From my stash: gesso, mask, modelling paste.

My third layout is also quite simple.
These papers from Blue Fern Studios are so yummi, I just didn´t want to hide them.
For this layout I´ve used the main kit, the flower add-on, the embellishment add-on and the MMM kit.
From my stash: gesso, ink
Thank you for looking!

July kit with Camilla

July is here and it is time to show you my work with the July kit. The kit was so lovely to work with - lots of gorgeous papers, flowers and embellies.

On my first layout I added some texture to the background by using a mask and some texture paste. Otherwise I kept the layout rather clean with just some few embellies and flowers.

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on kit, the embellie add-on kit and the MMM kit.
From my own stash: mask, cheese cloth, string, texture paste

For my next layout I added some stamping - the gate and fence stamp is fabulous. Then I also used some mixed media before I added my layered photo and flowers.

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on kit, the embellie add-on kit and the MMM kit.
From my own stash: tags, gesso, texture paste, bloom spray, seam binding, leaves, cheese cloth.

On my next layout I didn't use any extra colours. I just layered some papers and then added beautiful flowers in clusters.

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on kit, the embellie add-on kit and the MMM kit.
From my own stash: seam binding, leaves

The beautiful papers invite you to add some masks and sprays, which I did here. It blends in so well with the watercoloured papers.

The July Kit with Valerie

Happy 4th of July to those of you in the United States who are celebrating this fun holiday with fireworks, family, parades, and picnics!

Today is my last official blog post for C'est Magnifique Kits.  It's never easy to say goodbye, but by making this difficult decision, I will be able to pursue other interests, both personal and professional.  I have loved being a part of this awesome kit club, and meeting all of you.  I'm thankful for being given the opportunity to design with the beautiful international paper that C'est Magnifique kits are known for.

I would also like to announce that our most recent addition to the design team, Cathi O'Neill, will be taking over as Design Team Coordinator.  If you haven't had a chance to meet Cathi, see this blog post from a couple of days ago.  I assure you that I am leaving things in very capable hands!

Now I would like to show you a few layouts I have created using the July kit:

This month I created all my layouts using the main kit and the Magnifique Mixed Media kit.   Like all of you, I added in a few items from my stash, as well.  When my husband and I travel to the country, I can always count on coming home with some beautiful bird photos, like this one of a brightly colored woodpecker.

The paper in the July kit is the Blue Fern Studios Ombré Dreams Collection.  The background has a dreamy water color look and is perfect for creating your own backgrounds.  Here I used one of the sheets with a little bit of orange and yellow, then enhanced those colors with media from the Mixed Media Kit.

My final layout shows the watercolor look to this paper.   Although this layout is using a photo of my niece at the playground, the title really sums up my experience here at C'est Magnifique Kits - Happy Memories.

Here are a couple of close-ups.

I assure you that great things are in store for C'est Magnifique Kits.  Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Meet our New Design Team Member

Did anyone notice that we included a layout from Cathi O'Neill with our sketch challenge yesterday?  We are pleased to announce that Cathi has joined the C'est Magnifique Kits design team as of July 1st!  Cathi has been a long-time kit subscriber and was a guest designer for C'est Magnifique Kits, so she has a lot of experience creating with our kits.

I will turn it over to Cathi now, and let her tell you a little bit about herself:

I am so excited to be joining the C'est Magnifique design team this month! My name is Cathi O'Neill, and I am an American who married an Irishman and I have been living in Ireland since 1997. I live in a beautiful village on the Shannon River with my DH of nearly 19 years (wow, that makes me feel old!) and my two beautiful daughters, Aine (onya) 11 and Aisling (ashling) 10 who are the subject of many of my projects!!

I have always love crafting since I was a little girl. My grandmother taught me to knit and crochet and I remember sewing Barbie doll clothes with her on her front porch! I am a knitter and quilter as well, but have recently in the last three years found cardmaking and scrapbooking, and an obsession was born!! I truly love creating and make vintage cards to sell here in our local village cafe as well as stacks of mixed media and shabby/vintage style layouts of my girls to keep and share with family! I also love to do tags, ATC and altered projects, barely a day goes by when I haven't done something crafty!!

I am currently on the design teams for manufacturers LaLaLand Crafts and Meg's Garden. I also design for challenge blogs Berry71Bleu and Sugar Creek Hollow.  I have been lucky enough to design and guest design for some great manufacturers like May Arts Ribbon, Frosted Designs, Couture Creations, Visible Image Stamps, and Creative Expressions. I truly enjoy the challenge and inspiration that scrapbooking and cardmaking bring me.

All of us at C'est Magnifique Kits are thrilled to have Cathi join the team.  She will be sharing her layouts later this month, but we will give you a peek at one of her projects using the July Kit:

We would love to see YOU use our sketch as inspiration for a layout.  We have very few rules for our Sketch Challenge........as a matter of fact, we have just one rule.......we want your layout to resemble the sketch.  Feel free to flip or rotate the sketch, but we do want to look at your layout and be able to see that you used the sketch.  Other than that, you are free to use anything you have in your personal stash, and we welcome all styles of scrapbooking.

We will award two prizes for this sketch challenge.  The first prize will be a collection of paper, flowers, chipboard, and embellishments.  The winner of the prize package will also be able to shop in the C'est Magnifique Store, and have their purchases sent with the prize package, so that means you won't have to pay for shipping.

Our second prize, a $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique Store,  will be awarded randomly to one of our participants who obviously uses one of our kits to create their Sketch Challenge layout.

We will also chose 5 (or maybe more) layouts to feature on our blog!
You have the entire month of July to submit your layout.

What do you have to do to enter our sketch challenge?

1.  You must be a follower of our blog.  It's easy to become follower -see the left sidebar.

2.  Create a layout using the sketch, and add it to our blog using the Inlinkz tool below.  Please link to the blog post where you have uploaded your layout  (not your general blog address). If you do not have a blog, you may link to an online gallery.

Deadline for entering the sketch challenge is midnight, July 31, 2014 (US time).
Have fun with the sketch.  We can't wait to see how you use it!
