Olga's March Kit Projects and Mixed Media Layout Tutorial

Hello everyone! Olga here today sharing new works!
I want to share how to made this mixed media layout with the March Kit.
I made a page about my favorite paint sprays and my cheerful mood when I create.

I used the "Bolero" piece of paper from the Betsy's Couture Collection. I painted it with white gesso in the places where there will be all the decorations.

I distressed the top right edge of the patterned paper, placed another piece of patterned paper behind the distressed area and attached the papers together using a stapler. I like to use staples as an additional embellishment in my work.

To create an interesting layered photo mat, gather pieces of patterned paper, book sheets and thick chipboard and secure in several places with glue and a staples.

Add color and pattern to the background of the page using a mask, an ink pad and stamps.

Attach the matted photo over the large stamped area. Placed tangled thread and twine over the photo and attach with paper clips and staples.

Use Glossy Accents to attach buttons and sequins. Add stickers from the Betsy's Couture Sticker Sheet next to the photo and to the top right corner.

Ink the edges of the paper with Distress Ink and draw a dotted line to simulate stitching.

The final part of the work - splatters of mist!

I have made two layouts and a series of ATCs. This layout is about my daughter Maria.

On this layout I used a stencil, stamps, gesso, thread ink.

ATCs - portraits of vintage ladies are cut from a sheet Betsy's Couture Peplum patterned paper.

Thank you for your attention! I hope you find this tutorial inspirational! I have really enjoyed playing with this kit, because I love vintage prints and colors! If you are interested in the March Kit or Add-Ons a limited amount of kits are available for purchase from the C'est Magnifique Store while supplies last!

Debbie's Layouts Featuring C'est Magnifique's March Kits

Hi everyone!  Debbie here  today to share a few layouts layouts I created using C'est Magnifique's March kit, Haute Couture along with the Embellishment Add On, Flower Add On and Mixed Media Add On Kits.
The Kaisercraft papers and embellishments from Betsy's Couture are perfect for some vintage layouts.
I found this adorable vintage photo on Pinterest for my first layout. Lots of layering behind my photo including some packaging from the kits.  I used the main kit and embellishment and flower add on.
From my stash: ink, mist and embossing powder.

I punched some butterflies from the American Crafts cork sheet included in the main kit.

My next layout features a cluster of papers and embellishments and flowers.
From my stash:  ink, stamp, dies, mists.

Love the burlap bows from the main kit!  I used the Kaisercraft stamp and metallic copper embossing power from the Mixed Media kit behind the vintage picture of the woman.  Love the details!

On my next layout I did a lot of fussy cut work to create another vintage layout.
From my stash: modeling paste, mask, stamp, gesso and ink.

Love the cluster of flowers.  I sprayed the tulle flower included in the main kit with some pink mist.

For my last project I created a little plaque for my mantel.  I primarily used items from the Mixed Media kit including a section of the Ruby Rock It Chipboard Book for the backing.  I layered pieces from the Pink Paislee Hope Chest paper goods and added some stamping.

The March kits are available to purchase here in the store and for more details on the kit contents visit the C'est Magnifique blog here.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stina's March Kit Projects

Hi!
Time again to show you my projects for this month! I had really fun digging into this one, it has lots of possibilities in style and I tried to do a variety of projects to really show off the kit.

From my own stash I used: background stamps, paint

Here´s my firt layout! A clean and simple one with lots of white space. I coloured the letters with paint and a white pencil. For this layout I used products from the Main kit, the Flower add on, the Mixed media kit and the Embellishment add on.

From my own stash I used: stencil, modeling paste, silks acrylic

My next layout is a colour explosion with lots of things happening. I coloured the butterfly with silks acrylic to make it blend in more with the rest of the colours. I also coloured the title with the embossing powder and the mist from the Mixed media kit. For this layout I used products from the Main kit, the Flower add on, the Mixed media kit and the Embellishment add on.

From my own stash I used: cardstock, dies

I made this next layout on a cardstock to bring forward the details. I made some flowers from the cork paper and the trimmings. For this layout I used products from the Main kit, the Flower add on and the Embellishment add on.

From my own stash I used: swirl die

This next layout is to my dear friends! The title is from a music lyric that means alot to us. To make the leaves blend in more I painted them white. For this layout I used products from the Main kit and the Flower add on.

From my own stash I used: seam binding, frame from the february kit.
I love to make mini albums and here´s another one. I took the minialbum from the mixed media kit and changed paper on some of the pages. To make it more masculine I chose the metal flowers for decoration. For this layout I used products from the Main kit, the Flower add on, the Mixed media kit and the Embellishment add on. Here comes pictures from inside the album.

Have a great sunday!
