Olga's June Kit Projects and Mixed Media Layout Tutorial

Hello everyone! Olga here with you today. I want to share the layouts I created with the June Kit. I also have a mixed media layout tutorial to share!

I made a page about the wonderful and long-awaited summer.

I chose a piece of paper - Blue Fern Studios "Friperies" - and applied acrylic gel to the portion of the page that will be painted in the next step.

I applied texture gel over a stencil onto the dry acrylic gel. Then, I seletced a few favorite colors of alcohol inks for a bright background.

After I finished coloring the paper with alcohol inks, I added decoration - flowers, lace, a photo, cut out paper flowers and tangled threads. I added stamping with archival black ink and Rub-On Transfers to the background.

I used Glossy Accents to attach sequins and Kaisercraft Pearl Brads to the page.

I used acrylic gel to brush on the very beautiful lavender Glitter from C'est Magnifique. It is absolutely stunning and adds a tender and delicate glow. I love it!

The final part of the work - splatters of mist and alcohol inks and ink on the edges of the paper with Distress Ink. I also added Alphabet Stickers from the Prima Sticker Sheet.

I also made two pages in the same style as the first.

Evelyn's June Kit Projects

Hi all, it's Evelyn here today with my projects for June created with the June kits. The kits for June are soooo gorgeous, I loved, loved, loved working with them! The papers from the Blue Fern Déjà Vu collection are just beautiful and all the goodies in the Magnifique Mixed Media Kit, the Flower and the Embellishment Add-Ons are great to work with.

For my first layout I used the Main Kit and the Flower Add-On.

Look at these gorgeous flowers! I really love them.

The next layout shows my son. I really love to see him smile.
I used the Main Kit, the Magnifique Mixed Media Kit, and the Flower and Embellishment Add-Ons.

Again the flowers - aren't they lovely?

Here you can see the Prima Elementals Weaving Stencil from the Mixed Media Kit. I used it with Distress Ink.

The heart and the wings are included in the Mixed Media Kit too. It's the Prima Stamp-N-Add Angel Wings. You also can see the "waterdrops," they are made with the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Clear Texture Gems. I love them!

Here you can see the Prima Art Ingredients Granite Mica Flakes from the Mixed Media Kit. They look so cool!

For this flower cluster I used a part of the Coats & Clark Yellow Zipper from the Embellishment Add-On. You can see another part of it behind the photo.

One of the Prima Welcome to Paris Metal Stick Pins I used on the main flower cluster. They are included in the Embellishment Add-On too.

For the third layout I used one of the sentiments from the Paper House Colorways Seek Beauty Rub-On Transfers included in the Main Kit. Unfortunately, you can't see the silver shimmer on the photo. It's beautiful! Behind the sentiment you see the American Crafts Butter Rose Ribbon. It's so elegant!

I took the Single Large Yellow Rose and colored it with mists. I also used the Prima Rebecca Mini Bouquet. Both from the Main Kit.

For the background, I used the beautiful Prima Say It In Pearls Butterfly Swirls from the Mixed Media Kit, and of course flowers from the Main Kit and the Flower Add-On.

Stina's June Kit Projects

Hi again! Stina here today with my projects made with the fabulous June Kit. This is one of my favourite kits thus far, very easy to work with!

 Personal Supplies: white acrylic

When I opened this kit I immediately fell for the yellow zipper and I knew I had to do something fun with it, and here is the result. For this project I used products from the Main Kit, the Embellishment Add-on, the Mixed Media Kit and the Flower Add-on.

 Personal Supplies: black acrylic, modeling paste

In the Mixed Media Kit there was a box that I just had to alter. I started by adding some texture to it with modeling paste and the beautiful stencil in the Mixed Media Kit. Then, I added some of the chipboard onto the top of the box. When the glue had dried I painted the whole box with black acrylic paint. Then I dry brushed it with white acrylic paint. I decorated the lid with some flowers and the C'est Magnifique Fairy Frost Glitter. For this project I used products from the Mixed Media Kit, the Embellishment Add-on and the Flower Add-on.

 Personal Supplies: black acrylic, white cardstock

Here's another layout that I made. I really loved the stencil in the Mixed Media Kit and wanted it to take a big part of the layout. For this project I used products from the Main Kit, Mixed Media Kit, the Embellishment Add-on and the Flower Add-on.

My last layout is with a friends lovely daughter. For this project I used products from the Main Kit, Mixed Media Kit, the Embellishment Add-on and the Flower Add-on.

Dana's June Kit Projects

Hi! Dana here today sharing the projects I created with the June Kits. I had a blast working with the gorgeous patterned papers and chipboard from the Deja Vu collection by Blue Fern Studios. I used items from the Main Kit, Flower Add-On, Embellishment Add-On and Mixed Media Kit for each of my projects.

There is a fantastic assortment of gel, paint, mica flakes, glitter and stamps in the June kits. I used them all here to add color and texture to the background of my layout.

I loved the brick pattern on one of the flower packages and used that for a photo mat.

The flowers included in the Main Kit and the Flower Add-On are a fantastic variety of colors, textures and shapes which yields beautiful flower clusters!

I dressed up a notecard with some fussy cuts and piece of Blue Fern Studios chipboard.

There are a lot of flowers, gears and butterflies to cut out of the patterned papers in this kit. I designed this page with a lot of fussy cuts and metal gears from the Prima Stamp-N-Add set from the Mixed Media Kit.

I topped the fussy cuts with blooms from the Flower Add-On. I love the pop of deep pink from the Prima Cherry Blossom Branches!

I created a title for my page using a Prima Wooden ATC, that I backed with patterned paper, and an Authentique journaling card. Both of these items are included in the Embellishment Add-On. I highlighted both pieces with Faber-Castell Ice Texture Gems from the Mixed Media Kit.

I had a lot of fun embellishing this page with Blue Fern Studios Chipboard!

I love that the pieces are large enough to support flowers and buttons!

I created this pink flower from the scallop trim and brad included in the Main Kit.

This paper mache box comes in the Mixed Media Kit. It stands up well to paint! I piled flowers, chipboard, buttons, brads, pins, stickers and a fun zipper trim onto the lid of the box.
