Guest Designer Rhonda Van Ginkel - Part II with the September Card Kit

Greetings, it's Rhonda Van Ginkel back with you today to host the blog as a Guest Designer with Part II of my September projects. I am featuring designs using the C'est Magnifique September 2015 Card Kit.

"This Life is Pretty Wonderful" (12x12 Page)

I love the elements in the Card Kit so much, I also had a few extra goodies to include from the Embellishment Add-On Kit as well as the black flower from the Flower Add-On September 2015 Kit. I started this page inspired by the green card base which I used to mat my photo collage, along with some simple black cardstock.

I loved the idea of mixing this strong chevron design with some florals. I used a sheet of kraft card stock from home, then used crackle modeling paste and a stencil. I added the small gold glitter paste stars using a stencil. You will also see a few wood veneer stars mixed in which I lightly touched with Gold Glimmer Spray to blend in.

Some Gelatos were used in 4 different colors, and just smeared in to blend. After that, I sprinkled drops of Glimmer Spray about in coordinating colors to the pattern papers. I stamped using some of my BoBunny stamps and black ink.

The blue banner and pink arrow and sequin elements are from the Embellishment Add On Kit. I added the string and pearl along with the ink for coloring the "Hello" speech bubble. The partial tag I cut using a simple tag die.

"Hello Sunshine" Tag

For my next project, I created a tag to fit the cute pink polka dot envelope that comes in the kit. I've used the Prima Doll Stamp included in the kit as my focal point. She is colored with Copics and paper pieced.

I've used a scrap from one of my first projects on this. In the background you should see a frame and behind it I've backed it with the black and white ampersand. This was a really fun project to do, I love using these doll stamps, the possibilities are endless!

I added some Diamond Stickles to accent the bodice florals as well as the top of the skirt. The paper piecing that I did with her hair is from a woodgrain pattern paper included in the kit. I highlighted some of the hair design with my marker.

The headband, bodice and florals on her shoes all coordinate to the same patterned paper. To accent the headband, I added a single sequin and an Enamel Dot.

Here's the coordinating envelope. I added a few simple touches and love how it fits perfectly!

For this project I used a Prima Tag Pad from my own collection of items for the base, then added other papers and embellishments to it.

"Hello" (A2 sized card)

This card showcases another one of the beautiful designed card bases included in the kit. I decided to layer over the florals lightly with a few other pieces.

The "Hello" sentiment flag was cut from the pattern papers in the kit. I cut one of the vellum hearts in half and used for "leaves" under the flower cluster on the left. To create this look, I used a few of my dies and my die cutting machine.

Welcome New Designer Nadine Carlier!

We would like to welcome Nadine Carlier as our newest member of the design team! Here is more about Nadine in her own words:

Hello, my name is Nadine! I have been crafting for about 18 years now with scrapbooking, handmade cards, mixed media, and altered art projects being my favorite things to create, although I have done and love all things crafty. I would say my style would best be described as eclectic with a mixed media twist. Almost all my craft projects have some kind of mist or paint on them. I love getting messy and trying new techniques. Come by and visit me sometime on my blog and my other social media channels: My Scrap'n'Stuff, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and Facebook.

I'm sharing my first projects for C'est Magnifique using the September Main Kit. This kit was so much fun to work with and perfect for doing lots of fussy cutting!
For my first project, I created this selfie page of me last year on a cruise.

From my stash: Watercolor paints and color mists.
Using the cute ribbon in the kit I created these shabby chic flowers.

For this page, I used a picture of my daughter on the same cruise vacation that I took of me above.

From my stash: Cheese Cloth, Gesso, Color Mists, Inks, Flower Stamps, die cuts and black cardstock.
I created these flowers using one of the papers from the kit and a stamp and die set from my stash.

I love this picture of my mom and her sister that I used for this next layout.

From my stash: Pastes, Prima stencil and color mists.

For my last layout, I use an adorable picture of my daughter with her feet in my moms koi pond and with her dog.

From my stash: Prima stencil, color mists, embossing powder and pink cardstock.

For my final project, I created these two pretty hello cards.

From my stash: White, mint green and black cardstock, die cuts and color mists.
I created this pretty flower using the lace trim from the kit.

Thank you for looking, and I hope you were inspired. To see all of the C'est Magnifique Kits click HERE.

Happy crafting!

Maria's September Kit Projects

Hi!

Maria here today to share my September projects.

This month I have only worked with the Main Kit. The papers are as always gorgeous!

This is one of my favorite pictures. It is taken at Camden Market in London. I love oranges!

I made two simple cards. It's always great to have some cards on hand. ;)

These are my two dogs. We love spending time at the beach with them and they love playing around in the water. I love how the colorful paper cut-outs pair with the grey paper and photo.

This is the last day of school before Summer break.  I love the text that I cut out from the bottom of one of the papers in the kit.

There are more kits that match this main kit in the store. You can see them all here.

That's all for this time. See you again soon!

Evelyn's September Kit Projects

Hello everyone! Today it's time for me, Evelyn, to share my projects made with the September Kit - Happy Place, and all the pretty Add-Ons!

This month in our part of Germany school will start again after the summer holidays. I decided, to scrap the photos of the first day of school from me and my children. Unfortunately, I only have the photos from my son and me. The photos of the school start from my daughter are lost on a broken USB stick, I'm so sad!

The first layout shows my son on his very first day of school. In Germany we have a very nice tradition for the first day of school. The children get a decorated cardboard cone bag, mostly handmade from their Mommy, filled with candy and little gifts, called "Schultüte." All children are very excited to unpack them!

For this layout I used the  Main Kit, the Embellishment Add-on, the Mixed Media Kit and the Flower Add-on.

From my stash: ink, stencil, bandage

For my second layout I took my photo the first day of school. I used the Main Kit, the Embellishment Add-on, the Mixed Media Kit, and the Flower Add-on. I've made a start to finish video, but unfortunately, there are some parts black and white.

For my third layout I dived deep into pink. :) The kits contain some beautiful pink goodies, especially the Flower Add-on with some really girly pink flowers I wanted to use! I also used the the Main Kit, the Embellishment Add-on and the the Mixed Media Kit.

From my stash: Pearl pen, stickles, Glimmer Glaze, mist, Mica flakes

I´m totally in love with these tiny wood veneer pieces from the Embellishment Add On!

The vellum hearts with their transparency add some interest.

For my last project I altered the Classic Leather Album from the Mixed Media Kit. I will use it to store my little stamps. I made a process video, enjoy! I used the Main Kit, the Embellishment Add-on, the Mixed Media Kit, and the Flower Add-on.

From my stash: Embossing dabber, Embossing powder, velvet doily, Gesso black and white, DI vintage photo
