Nadine's October Kit Projects

Hello, everyone! Nadine here today sharing my layouts I created using the C'est Magnifique October Kits. These kits are absolutely gorgeous! The Prima Garden Fable papers give this kit a romantic feel. In addition to using the October Main Kit, I also used the October Embellishment Add-On Kit, October Flower Add-On Kit, and the October Mixed Media Kit.

The add-on kits are a fabulous addition to the main kit. I created five layouts total with these kits using lots of products on each one, and I still have a ton of products left to create several more layouts if I wish.

For my first layout, I used the October C'est Magnifique Sketch and a picture of my beautiful mother.

This layout includes products from the October Main KitOctober Embellishment Add-On Kit, and the October Mixed Media Kit.
From my stash: Thread, Black Cardstock, and Black Color Mist

On my second layout, I had lots of fun using the tags in the kits. This was a picture of me when I was little learning to swim. There is lots of layering on this layout.

From my stash: Thread, Pink & Black Cardstock, and Color Mists.

I think this next layout is my favorite of them all. I love the purples and it matched perfectly with my son's prom dates dress. On the chandelier chipboard piece, I used some embossing powders and for the doilies I used the packaging for the Prima flowers.

From my stash: Purple & White Cardstock, Embossing Powders, Cheese Cloth, Gesso and Color Mists

Who says you can't use flowers and pink on layouts with guys on them? I love how this layout turned out of my dad and me.

From my stash: Clear Gesso, Cream Cardstock, and Color Mists

For my last layout, I created this super cute page of our rotten Rottweiler when she was a puppy. Green is my favorite color so of course I love this page, and it also helps that the picture is super cute too.

From my stash: Dark Brown Cardstock, Dry Wall Tape, Brown Distress Ink, Gesso, and Color Mists

Thank you for looking, and I hope you were inspired. To see all of the C'est Magnifique Kits click HERE.

Kathleen's October Kit Projects

Greetings everyone, Kathleen here sharing with you my first projects as a Design Team member with C'est Magnifique! I simply adore this months kit "Among the Birds." The colors are vibrant and alive just perfect to scrap these pictures from my trip to visit my son and his family in Washington, DC. We arrived just in time to see the famous cherry trees in bloom! It was amazing to see. Of course there is also nothing better than having quality time with my little grandson.

For this layout I used the Main Kit and Flower Add-On.
From my stash: watercolors
Here are a few close ups.

This kit is super awesome!  I used every bit of it.  I popped the dots from the tags and used them as accent pieces in the above layout.

For this layout I cut the center piece of houses from the main paper and fussy cut the houses to use in a later layout you saw for the sketch challenge.  I used the Main Kit and the Flower Add-On for this layout. Can I say again how crazy I am over this kit!
Stash item: paint mists, stencil and modeling paste, drywall tape, doily

I used a stencil and modeling paste down the center of the layout then used strips of drywall tape (you can find this in the hardware store super cheap and it will last forever!) for added texture.

My third layout uses the Main Kit only.
Stash items: Paint mists, dictionary paper, purple netting
I have a few butterfly stamps and I decided to use one on the papers to create my own embellishments that coordinate perfectly with these papers. Aren't they fantastic?!

I carefully peeled apart this gorgeous purple rose and refolded it into two more separate roses to create the bouquet. The background was created from stencil and modeling paste, a few paints to add color and finally a stamp for design.

Above, I fussy cut a tag, edged it in brown, and used an arrow sticker for detail plus a sticker underneath. I use lots of torn paper and one from an old dictionary for my frame.

For my final layout I used the Main Kit plus the Flower Add-On. I saw this incredible courtyard in front of a countryside house in Southern France. So incredibly beautiful.

To show how awesome this kit is I even used the packaging from the flowers for layering around the picture plus the corrugated cardboard from the box it all comes in.  How much better can it get!

I love the different colors the alpha stickers come in. They perfectly match all the papers in this kit.  Look closely at the large flower the petals have old timey picture on them. Gorgeous!

Just look at this precious fairy that comes in the kit.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek. I can't wait to see what you create from this kit. Happy crafting!  Please check out the Store for this and past kits.

Maria's October Kit Projects

Hello, Maria here today to share my projects I've made with the October Kit. This months kit has been absolutely great to work with, one of my favorites... (again)... ;) I have mixed all the kits together on my layouts and I have used the Mixed Media Kit, the Main Kit, the Flower Add-On and the Embellishment Add-On. They can all be found here.

My first layout is a picture of my oldest daughter. I think washi tape is perfect on layouts! The die-cuts from the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Serendipity line were so cool! I love the gold glasses.

My second layout is of my seven year old. Always with a smile on his face. I have used the die-cuts from American Crafts on this page too.

My third layout is of my younger daughter. I have used more earth tone colors on this layout. She also loves flowers so I put on a lot of flowers. :) She loves the nature, so I thought this paper was perfect for her.

My beautiful, happy, funny little sister. She always makes me laugh! She's the one on the left side.

The last layout I made this month is another one of my oldest daughter. I found these pictures on my phone, I guess someone likes taking "selfies"...

Thank you for stopping by today!
You can find all the kits and much more in the C'est Magnifique Store.
See you soon again!

Love, Maria

New Designer Announcement + Giveaway!

Hi friends! We're thrilled to welcome some new designers to the C'est Magnifique team!

Debbie Sherman - Design Team Coordinator

Hi! I'm Debbie Sherman, I'm ecstatic be part of the C'est Magnifique  Design Team! When I'm not scrap booking, photographer, wife, mother, grandmother of 8, auntie and friend. I have been crafting since I was a little girl. I started out sewing and making jewelry around the age of 7 and have been creating ever since. I still bead and sew but now it's mostly on my paper projects. I love photography and sometimes get that "great shot" that all photographers live for! I am fortunate enough to have a press pass and am able to shoot big events occasionally. The city I live in has a yearly old west celebration called the"Daddy of 'em all" and I'm fortunate enough to attend the big rodeo's, Native Americans and several other events in town. With my press pass I have front row seating for these events which allows for some awesome photos. With all the photos I take it gives me the perfect reason to scrap them! I'll be sharing some of those with all of you! I'm so excited to be part of this wonderful team and hope to inspire and be inspired along the way.

Hello, my name is Nadine! I have been crafting for about 18 years now with scrapbooking, handmade cards, mixed media, and altered art projects being my favorite things to create, although I have done and love all things crafty. I would say my style would best be described as eclectic with a mixed media twist. Almost all my craft projects have some kind of mist or paint on them. I love getting messy and trying new techniques. Come by and visit me sometime on my blog and my other social media channels: My Scrap'n'Stuff, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and Facebook.

My name is Angèlique Jarrier. I'm 34 years old and I'm French. I live in a village close to Brest, close to the sea, which is called Plouescat, with my husband and my two children, Lilou (10 years) and Lucas (3 years). I am currently at home which allows me to enjoy the most beautiful moments of childhood with my children and leaves me time to scrapbook, the perfect combination of all my passions; photography, paper sculpture, creativity, and many others. Because this passion is constantly evolving in me, I like to try new techniques and find fun ways to capture our wonderful moments.I do not stick to a design style, I touch everything and I evolve according to inspiration. I can create a series of cards, to layouts, altered objects, mini-albums, or my favorite pastime creating paper sculptures. I am eager to help you discover all this thanks to the sublime kits.

My name is Kathleen White and I hale from Wylie, Texas with my hubby and two little Boston Terrier babies. My three real children are grown and have flown the nest. I made my first layout in 2001 and was hooked on scrapping ever since. I love paper, flowers, bling, ribbons and lace..all those pretty things! I love to tear, wrinkle, sew and get messy with gesso, mists and paint. I also love photography and my main subjects are my daughters! I don't have a definite style...my creations can be vintage, shabby chic or loaded with paints, sprays and gesso...depending on my mood and inspiration on any given day. I love to design!

Hi my name is Sara McDowall, I have been crafting for just over 2 years and have totally fallen in love with everything to do with it. I started out to make cards and have slowly progressed to altered projects. I have my own site on Facebook called Just Cards By Sara and a YouTube channel where I do start to finish project shares and techniques. The thing I love the most about crafting is how you can turn a simple piece of paper into a beautiful piece of art. I really enjoy mixed media, creating textures and distressing. I look forward to sharing my work with you all.

Hello, my name is Tina Rutledge. I live here on the west coast of sunny Forida with my husband and 5 children. I have 3 lovely duaghters and 2 sons ages 21-12. I'm fortunate to be at home being able to care for the needs of my family hands on, although that keeps me very busy. I have a love and passion for being crafty and creative. My favorite is paper crafting. I'm really excited to be joining the C'est Magnifique design team and working with their beautiful kits. Hopeful to share some inspiration. To view my work in detail, have a visit to my blog.

I am happily married to my wonderful and supportive husband, Jim. We have one very handsome son and beautiful daughter-in-law and an adorable grandson in his Freshman year at college. I retired in 2009 after 35 years in the legal field, but do work about 9 hours per week (3 mornings) with a friend. I have been into crafting since 2008 - mostly cardmaking. In 2013 I started scrapbooking again - the new and improved style, as well as getting into mixed media - and I love both! My other hobbies include reading, a lot, and going to movies - nothing like the big screen! I am excited to be on the C'est Magnifique team with all the wonderfully talented ladies.

These lovely ladies join our talented long-serving artists:

How about a giveaway to celebrate the new team?! Deonna recently spent some time teaching in Las Vegas with Teresa Collins Webber and brought back a lovely pair of scissors that we want to give away to one lucky follower!

Designed for all-purpose cutting through a range of craft materials that incorporate glue, tape and other sticky adhesives, these Non-stick Scissors from Fiskars feature a non-stick blade coating that prevents the blades from gumming up. To add a pop of color to your collection of craft tools, the handle has been embellished with a touch of Teresa Collins’ signature style. The precision-ground blades cut all the way to the tip and stay sharp, and an ergonomically contoured handle offers comfortable use and cutting control.
