Maria´s January Projects

Hi,

Maria here today to share my January projects.
The January Kits are so beautiful and fun to work with. I have, as usual, mixed the different kits on my pages. I have used the main kit, the flower add-on, the embellishment add-on and the mixed media kit.

My first layout - I love the romantic style in these papers. I´ve used many flowers on my layout and then used gesso to get the mixed media feeling to the page. The chipboards that come in the kits are beautiful!

My second layout - "Family". I have cut out the bird and the balloon and added them as decorations on my layout. Many of the papers have great images that can be cut out and used on your pages.

In the mixed media kit, you can find paints in matching colors to the papers. I made a page in my journal.

Finally, some ATC cards

That´s all for today, thanks for stopping by. Make sure to check out the kits in the store.

Teresa's January Kit Reveal

It's Teresa here and my first post using these amazing kits from C'est Magnifique... This month we are using papers from Blue Fern Studios, and it was really fun to make up my pages and quick to do since there are so many fun things to play with in the kits.

For my family time page, I used the basic kit for the base and then added on layers of paper and flowers from the kit to frame the photo.  The really cool chipboard piece was also in my kit and to give it a more white look I painted it with gesso and let it dry.  I also did the leaves too since they were a little too dark but they worked really well after the paint.  The tags and letters that I put on it also came in the basic kit... nice to have everything that matches so well.

For my Nepal page, I used the balloon paper for the base and then cut a strip of the blue lacy paper that went with it to make a border.  On that, i added an ivory doily that I cut from a Spellbinders die and then layered lots of flowers from the Flower Add-on.  In the mixed media kit, we got a fun strip of that white netting, so I gathered that up and put it under the flowers.  I love textures, so this was a fun addition to play with.  And I added some letters and just a bit of spackle to add more interest to it.

This is one of my favorite pages just because I love the beautiful rich colors in it and the patterns, and it worked really well with my picture.  I have a huge folder of photos to print on my computer, so it was nice to get this one up and done.  I also used the netting and the chipboard on this page and the pretty flowers that come in the set.  You also get lace, and I cut that in half and for a border and used the small adhesive white paper flowers to the side of the journaling box.  Oh, and I used some of the pretty green ribbons that I got in the kit too... super fun and super easy.

And my last page is of my cousins wedding.  This was such a cute picture of all of them and the papers worked really good.  I did really simple layering of the papers to make the photo pop and then added a flower border under it and the title.  The mixed media kit also comes with a really pretty pink embossing powder, and I used that just to make it glisten over the painted pink stencil I did on the background.

This year I challenge you to try something new a different way... and don't be afraid because you may be amazed at how much you love how it came out!!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

January C'est Magnifique Progressive Pages

Hello, C'est Magnifique Friends!  Welcome to the C'est Magnifique's Progressive Pages !  This challenge will accommodate all levels of scrappers from the beginners/clean scrappers to all you mixed media artists!  C'est Magnifique Designer  Kathleen White will be your host.

Greetings everyone Kathleen here with my first in what I hope is a long series of one layout three ways.
Layout one is for the novice or those who lack the time for adding detail at the moment.  This is a perfect starting and stopping point.
Tip: You know those strips at the bottom of the 12x12 papers with the company information, save them.  They make excellent layering strips as seen above.
For the base of this layout I created my focal point with strips of paper then matted my picture with the postcards from one of the papers added a few flowers and viola you are done!
{Main kit only }

Layout two I added areas of interest using a honeycomb stencil and modeling paste.
Tip: Add a touch of paint to your modeling paste to coordinate with the color palette of your papers.
Fussy cut a few graphic from the other papers and layer them to either side of the picture.
{Main kit, Flower add-on, and paint from the Mixed Media kit}

Layout three I spritzed the background with a couple of colors for depth and interest.  I removed the word tag tucked it into the upper right-hand layers.  With the lettering from the kit, I created my title.  More flowers and leaves were added to floral arrangement and snippets of lace were frayed out and tucked into the layers.  Finally, I added a twine bow and a few micro beads(from my stash).

Thanks for stopping by the C'est Magnifique blog today and we hope you enjoyed these fun pages!

Kathy's January Kit Reveal

Hello, C'est Magnifique Friends! Kathy Bradley here with you today and I am sharing my layouts and projects created using the gorgeous C'est Magnifique January 2016 New Beginnings kits and add-ons. Be sure to go back and check out the posts from the other amazingly talented ladies on the team - so much inspiration!

My first layout features the gorgeous Blue Fern Studios Autumn Anthology paper that comes in the Main Kit - the papers are beautiful! I used elements from the Main Kit, Embellishment Add-On, Flower Add-On and Mixed Media Kit.

Personal Items from my stash were hot glue gun and Fabri-Tac Adhesive.

Deonna (the owner of the C'est Magnifique Kits on-line shop) coordinates the Main Kit, as well as all the add-ons and the Mixed Media Kit beautifully with the paper and flowers!

On my second layout, once again, I used elements from the Main Kit, Mixed Media, Kit, Embellishment Add-On and Flower Add-on. It was so much fun to work with all the beautiful products in January's kit!

Personal Stash: Hot Glue Gun and Fabri-Tac Adhesive.

I found this photo in the next layout as a free image on Google - and it's a pigeon - yep, a pigeon - not like any pigeons we have here in Illinois - but this little guy is gorgeous. I knew that the photo would work perfectly with the papers and flowers. Again, I combined elements from the Main Kit, Mixed Media Kit, Flower-Add-On and Embellishment Add-On. There is so much product in the kits and add-ons that one could keep creating and creating!

Personal Stash: Hot glue gun and Fabri-Tac adhesive.

I made this next page for one of the monthly challenges over at the C'est Magnifique Kits Blog - the Mixed Media Challenge - and this month, Evelyn Walter (one of our very talented Designers) is hosting the Stencil Bump challenge. Evelyn has a video on the blog to explain the stencil bump technique. So, click on the direct link above and jump over and check it out and then grab a stencil and join in (there is a prize for the winner).

Personal Stash: Stencil; modeling paste mixed with brown pain; bottle tops for the circles, hot glue gun and Fabri-Tac adhesive.

And, there is another challenge going on right now with another one of our awesome designers, Nadine Carlier. Here is a link to Nadine's Use Your Scraps challenge. For this month's challenge, Nadine has indicated that you can make a card, tag or ATC - using your scraps. So, grab some of those scraps that we all keep (we all do - thinking we will use them for something - well, something is here. And, Nadine has an awesome video showing you how she made her gorgeous ATC from the scraps from this month's kit.

My ATCs for Nadine's challenge are below. Why not join in and clear out some of your scraps - and, maybe, win a prize!

Personal stash hot glue gun and Fabri-Tac adhesive.

For my final project, I used the Prima heart canvas mini album that was in this month's kits, and this is what I came up with. The front cover, the back cover and then the pages in between.

Personal Stash: Hot glue gun.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! I hope you found a bit of inspiration - and be sure and check out the C'est Magnifique blog for monthly challenges as well.

Debbie's January C'est Magnifique Reveal

Hello C'est Magnifique friends! Debbie with you today sharing my January C'est Magnifique kit projects.  The January kit is loaded with so many beautiful papers and embellishments.  The paper for this month is Autumn Slendor by Blue Fern Studios.  I used the Main Kit, Embellishment Add on, Flower Add on and the Mixed Media Add On.

I used the flower Add On and The beautiful Ginger Poppies Chipboard to give the flower cluster a little more dimension and interest.

I wanted to keep the photo on this layout the focus point so I simply built the background with modeling paste, stencils, and the embossing powder included in the Mixed Media Add On.  The banner was made with the Embellishment Add On and the goodie bag that comes along in the Embellishment Add On.

For this next layout, again I created the background using modeling paste and a stencil.  Then embossed them with the embossing powder included in the Mixed Media Add on. The Flower Cluster was created with The Flower Add On.

Thanks for stopping by the C'est Magnifique Blog today!  Be sure to stop by tomorrow for more inspiration from the Design Team.

We hope you are playing along with our challenges and a chance to win a prize package!
