The September kit Camilla style

You will all love the September kit - both muted and bold colours. First I have a layout with my boy. I cannot believe he is already 12. I used some neutral papers and bold flowers. The chipboard pieces are perfect as a background to the photo.

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on and the embellishment add-on.
From my stash: mask, texture paste, gesso, cheese cloth, border punch

Next, a girly pink page with my little niece playing her guitar. I mixed the very pink flowers with some white and green leaves to blend them. And I just love the little envelope tags.

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on and the embellishment add-on.
From my stash: stamp, border punch, dies, doilies

Then I made a layout about my son who is into karate. The quote is a stamp and says: "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Through karate my son will learn how to gradually grow as a person learning self-control and self-esteem.

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on and the embellishment add-on.
From my stash: mask, texture paste, stamps, dies

My last page today is of my beautiful sister. I made a soft page that goes well with the photo. I love to use several different border punches - it makes it easy to use several different papers on the same layout.

For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on and the embellishment add-on.
From my stash: border punches, dies, gesso, book pages

Make sure to pop by the C'est Magnifique soon to get more September inspiration from the C'est Magnifique design team.

A Look at September w/Erin

Hi everyone! Erin Blegen here with you today to share with you my projects using the September kit. You've had so many great samples provided by the team and I'm excited to share with you my take on this kit.

Let's get started!

"08-13"
Seeing my sweet baby girl in her girly skirt and rubber boots reminds me SO much of myself when I was young. I was definitely the dirty-faced little tomboy in a dress and bare feet, running through puddles, catching frogs, swimming wherever there was water. It warms my heart to see my own daughter so much like myself :).
I definitely went GIRLY with this one- as much pink as possible! I love using the Kaisercraft die cuts- it allows me to add lots of layers while going more minimal with my flowers. And the background of the Scrap Berry's papers are already so interesting that I didn't really need to add much to it- just a hint of masking and that's it :).

"4 You"
You know me- I've gotta go masculine with every kit from C'est Magnifique, and as you can see here- it's pretty easy to do! Definitely focused on the neutrals here, with just a touch of blue for my little guy Gunner. I love me some raw chipboard too, and these Blue Fern Studios pieces- though feminine at first glance- really add to the masculine touch when left raw.

"Swim"
I loved mixing and matching the Scrap Berrys and Kaisercraft papers on this one. And then I had to add in a bit of junk mail and packaging to compliment the black accents on Aspen's swimsuit. Pretty simple with some layers just seemed the way to go here!

Thanks for coming by the C'est Magnifique blog today! Camilla will be with you in just a couple of days before the full kit reveal- so be on the lookout for some amazing projects from her!

Take care :)

September kit inspiration from Maja

Hi! Maja here today to share some layouts with you. I love this months romantic,  dreamy kit. All these lovely pink tones in the papers inspired me to make layouts with photos of my beloved daughters. So lets start with the first one.

For this layout I have cut out pices of the Scrap Berry´s papers and used embossingfolders to get some texture on the paper. To highlight the embossed pattern I used a pink ink pad.

From my own stash stencil, embossing folders, modelling paste, gesso and ink pad.

On this page I´m again using the Scrap Berry´s papers. Also this page has lots of textures made with embossing folders, stencils and modelling paste.

From my own stash embossingfolder, stencil, modelling paste, Crackle Paint, embroidery yarn, Distress Ink and a stamp.

I even made a layout with a photo of myself using the Kaser Craft papers. I don´t scrap myself that often ;)

From my own stuff a stamp.

Even if this kit is very girly you can find papers that you can use for boys layouts. My fourth and last one is a page where I have used a photo of my boys.

I have used both Kaiser Craft and Scrap Berry´s papers on this one.
From my own stuff embroidery yarn.

That is all from me this time. Make sure to get back on Sunday when it´s Erins turn to inspire you with her amazng layouts made with the September kit.

Tracey's September Kit Sneaks

Hi everyone! Tracey here with my first official DT post and I have 3 layouts to show you made with the gorgeous September C'est Magnifique Kit, "Shabby Dreams."

I am a happily married mom of 4 (ages 21 to 13) and I live nestled in the mountains of Western Massachusetts, USA. I work as an Quality Control/Staff Educator RN for a local Hospice. In addition to scrapping, I love photography, home projects, my daughter's drama (the onstage kind, not the teenage
kind !) and am active in my church's Worship Arts team along with missions and the nursery.

I started scrapping at the insistence of my best friend. I kept telling her I didn't have the time and she kept telling me I would love it if I tried it. Well, 8 years later, here I am! I definitely have a shabby style (just about squealed when I opened this kit!) and also like to experiment with mixed media and off the page projects. I am beyond thrilled to be here and look forward to getting to know you all a little better!

My blog is Lifetime of Pages if you'd like to visit!

Here is my first page:

I used only the Kaisercraft papers for this one.
I love the die cuts that give you the fabulous look of fussy cutting without the work!

Everything is from the kits and add-ons except the white eyelet ribbon. I made the ruffles using the Kaisercraft paper as well. There are beautiful pastel journaling notes that were perfect for my thoughts for my daughter on her first semi-formal.

My second layout features the beautifully romantic ScrapBerry papers:

Yes, that's my daughter, Naomi again, she is such a good sport!
The lace you see comes with the kit and was so beautiful, I simply couldn't bear to cover it up! I decided to cluster the flowers together and you can see how perfectly coordinated the colors are!

These cute Blue Fern banners received some white crackle paint and parts of the doilies from the kit along with pearl paint from my stash.

My third page-mixing the two lines in a more neutral palette:

I have had this pic for a year but have been challenged with the contrast of my bright color loving niece against the backdrop of her more earth toned parents.
Everything is from the kit except my rolled and misted felt flowers.
The Blue Fern chippie has been twice crackled, first with a contrasting color and second with clear crackle.
Some close-ups:

That's all for now!
Thanks for letting me share and keep checking back for more gorgeousness from the DT!
Full reveal is on August 30! You won't want to miss it!

Sandi's Sneak Layouts with the September C'est Magnifique Kit

Hello, everyone! It's Sandi here today with my first post on the C'est Magnifique Blog along with my first Sneak Peek projects using the September 2013 kit "Shabby Dreams."

I'm married to a wonderfully scrap-supportive guy named Dan. We live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in Texas, USA and have 3 grown daughters, 3 wonderful son-in-laws and a whole bunch of sweet, sweet grandkids. I work part-time as an Audiologist in the medical field and love what I do.

Although I have been a crafter of some sort all my adult life, my sister-in-law introduced me to this hobby about 7 years ago and I fell in love! It is truly my passion and I enjoy every minute of it! Give me paper and some photos, and I'm in heaven! My style has changed considerably since I first started but that’s what I really enjoy ... learning new techniques and expressing myself though this amazing art form.

I am excited to begin a new adventure here at C'est Magnifique and look forward to getting to know lots of new faces. Thanks, Leslie for inviting me on the team. And thank you, Valerie, for all the assistance.

This September kit "Shabby Dreams" is truly amazing! Let me show you what I've done so far.

"Love"
I just had to use this sheet of the ScrapBerry paper with this wonderful printed image. I found just the right photo to pair with it of sweet family member, Olivia. Inspired by scrappy friend Marilyn Rivera, I did some major paper pleating, rumpling.  The paper folds seemed the perfect spot for placing a few pretty flowers.  I used my Damask stencil and molding paste on the left side of the page for a little added detail along with a bit of punch work. A little fussy cutting, some added tulle from my stash and a few things from the EAO completed this page.

I've used the Main kit, the flower add-on and embellishment add-on.
From my stash: stencil, molding paste, tulle and pearls.

Here are a few close-ups:

Next, I focused on highlighting the KaiserCraft papers but teamed them with some ScrapBerry.

"Happiness"
These were a dream to work with! This photo is of granddaughter Malerie at her recent wedding. The papers seemed so girly and perfect to use along with a bridal photo. I off-set the die cut sheet for some added interest.  Again, I've used a stencil from my stash to reflect the concept of time.

I've used the Main kit, the flower add-on and embellishment add-on.
From my stash: stencil, molding paste, pearls, mist.

And a few close-ups:

My last share for today:

"Cherish"
This may be my favorite of these projects! I so love having granddaughters to scrap! This is my youngest, Marianne. She is "the princess" and so probably deserves to be surrounded by beautiful flowers and embellishments. Don't you love the sweet Blue Fern Studios bunting from the add-on? I've painted it and then stippled on a layer of white Gesso. I've used an Inkido stamp from my stash to the right of the photo for a bit of contrast behind my other embellishments. A generous amount of Gesso wash was utilized to bring everything together.

I've used the Main kit, the flower add-on and embellishment add-on.
From my stash: stamp, seam binding, doilies, Gesso.

Here are few close-ups:

That's all from me today! Thanks for coming by.

Please check back in a couple of days because Tracey will be sharing some projects to inspire you.

We're Looking Ahead to September!

Hi everyone!  We have some really exciting things going on at C'est Magnifique Kits and we're finally able to share them with you.  We are pleased to announce that we have added 2 new members to our Design Team.  Please join us in welcoming Sandi Clarkson and Tracey Gregory.  They have been busy behind the scenes creating some awesome layouts with our upcoming September kit, and you are going to love what you see!  Over the next couple of days Sandi and Tracey not only introduce themselves to you, but will also be sharing their layouts created with the September kit.

We have also had to say good-bye to designer Migbell Guzman this month.  Unfortunately Migbell took a fall which resulted in an injury.  She is okay, but needs to take some time to focus on healing.  We are really going to miss Migbell and her amazing talent.  We all fell in love with her layouts the moment we saw them!  We hope you feel better real soon, Migbell.

Now it's time to show you the paper that we will be featuring in our upcoming September kit.  The pattern paper duo will be the beautiful "Colored Dreams" collection from ScrapBerry's, a Russian manufacturer, and the "True Romance" collection from KaiserCraft of Australia.  It's a soft and dreamy combination of designs.
