A Final Look at the MMM November Kit w/Erin Blegen

Good morning everybody! Erin Blegen here with you today to give you one last look at our Magnifique Mixed Media November Kit "Autumnal Bliss". My sister Kelly Foster and I have really enjoyed our time with this kit, from the very first planning stages to putting the final touches on our projects. We've appreciated the excitement and feedback received as well! And we look forward to continuing to offer inspiring, media-filled unique kits that will help you to grow in your mixed media knowledge and love :)

Today, I created a layout using this beautiful kit.

"Extraordinary You"
I really wanted to use as many of the mediums available in this kit, which meant combing all of the warm, rich colors in a balanced way. I used the "Mini Ceiling Tile" mask and Gelatos as the starting point in my project by basically "coloring" with them (over the mask) and then spritzing over top before blending with a wipe. This helps the Gelatos spread a little easier.

After zapping the masked area with a heat gun, I used some light modeling paste along with the mask and some embossing powder and created additional texture in that way. Then I'm ready to add the Twinkling H2Os, in just a small amount so as not to overpower the rest of the layout. I simply pour a drop on top of the embossed area and use my spatula to carefully spread it around. Allow to dry on its own in order to keep the vibrancy of the colors (the heat tool can cause the watercolor to spread, thin out, and fade). In contrast, if you're wanting to tone down the color, you can spritz with water and/or pull up some of the color by dabbing with a wipe.

Thank-you for visiting today! I hope you've enjoyed our projects using the "Autumnal Bliss" kit. Stay tuned for the first look at our upcoming December MMM Kit! :)

November Kit Pages with Tracey

Hello! Tracey here today to share with you my creations with the
November's kit. It's titled,"Falling Leaves" and features Maja Design's rich Autumn hues..gorgeous and perfect for all those fall pics!
Here's my first page:

Everything in the kit is so perfectly coordinated, it makes scrapping so easy! It really helped that Vivien's little dress had such a similar pattern as the paper! Other than the grass, everything came from the kit. I used some Heidi Swapp peach mist and molding paste for the background. I love layers and textures so I embossed the picture mat and piled on the goodies!
 For my second page, I wanted to be a little more "inky". I fussy-cut the leaves and mixed them with the wooden hearts. I distressed the edges and painted them with Brown crackle paint, Crackle accents and glass beads from my stash. The pic is my son, years ago, taking part in an equine therapy program for children with autism. It was a very special time in his life..and mine.

I kept the next page Clean and Simple. This is a pic I stole off the Facebook page of a dear friend of her grandchildren. It was just too sweet not to scrap and how nice that his jammies coordinate with the paper?

Since the page was relatively simple, I added  depth by stacking and propping with cardboard.

My next page features a shabby chic style and my daughter as a bridesmaid congratulating my sister-in-law. I think this one is my fave..

I used a large Prima doily mask for the textured backgound and doilies from my Dollar store. I deconstructed the embellished ribbon in the kit and used the mesh behind my pic and the rhinestones on the sweet frames. It ended up being mostly hidden but in the frame in the bottom right cluster, I added a fussy cut center and glossy accents to the center.

My last page was created using the November sketch and lots of the fun Blue Fern goodies in the kit!

Except for the grass and the small piece of twine on the banner, everything on the page is from the kit. I altered the Blue Fern fence with Antique Linen crackle paint and painted the weed chippies to resemble sunflowers (more like Black Eyed Susans?). I hit the ends of the petals with Diamond Stickles and used black puffy paint for the centers.

I created these 5 pages and still had enough left over for two other projects!
If you haven't already,pick up your kit here before it sells out!
Thanks for stopping by!

November Kit With Svetlana

Hello everyone! Svetlana is here today to share with you another look at the November kit.

I love autumn and I had such a pleasure creating with this kit that is filled with such beautiful colors of the fall!

Wonderful Day Together }

Though I love, love, love autumn and miss it very much as we don't really have it here in South Africa the way it is in the northern hemisphere, my first 2 layouts are about rainy cloudy day we enjoyed in the mountain area not far from my town.
A window and shatters images from the die-cuts pack from Bo Bunny were perfect together with the painted mural on the wall in my photo.

From my stash: gesso, texture paste, masks, glimmer mist, stamps, twine, die cut, bling, and tiny alpha stickers.

Falling Waters Of Debengeni }

 On this layout I tried to repeat the falling waters and splashes of the waterfall. Birds, butterflies and chipboard dry flower stems helped me to create a forest scene.

From my stash: gesso, texture paste, mask, twine, paper doily, buttons, liquid pearls, cotton thread for hand stitching. and tiny alpha stickers.

Our Autumn }

This layout is a re-make. I made a layout with these photos many-many years ago when I just started scrapping and it wasn't actually that bad. I was keeping it mostly for memory sake - memories of my scrapping progress. But these papers made me do it :-))))  Though I kept the circles and little birds on the page from the previous design.

From my stash: gesso, glimmer mist, texture paste, micro beads, crackle accents, ink pads, pen, mask, liquid pearls, ruffia, buttons, metal brads, and cotton thread for hand stitching.

You Are Just Amazing }

This is such a adorable photo of my son! It was taken during our visit to a nature reserve so all the birds and insects are perfect decor for this page (though we were after much bigger animals! :-)))
I created the background for this project on a sheet of chipboard with texture paste, mask, stamps and different sprays.

From my stash: glimmer mists, texture paste, stamps, twine, and tiny alpha stickers.

{ An Altered Notebook }

I altered the cover of a notebook I bought at a stationery store. I think it can make a nice gift for a friend of mine. It will be great not only for making notes but it also can be turned into an art journal.

From my stash: glimmer mists, texture paste, stamps, embossing powder, ribbon, buttons, bring, liquid pearls, and tiny alpha stickers.

Thank you for visiting C'est Magnifique blog today! I hope you enjoyed my projects.

Autumnal Bliss - MMM Kit - Part 2 with Kelly

Hello everyone! Kelly here.
I have another project to share using the brand new Magnifique Mixed Media kit.
The kit sold out quick, but will be back in stock very soon!! Lucky you - if you missed out, this is your chance!!

"You Are So Beautiful"

I had a lot of fun playing with the Crafter's Workshop Mini Ceiling Tile stencil for the kit. I based my page with 7 Dots Studio - 9th Wave paper, and played with the stencil and all of the various media from the kit. I just kept stenciling, flipping, and stamping until I got the look I wanted. I used a watercolor pencil to add definition to the stencilled areas here and tehre.

With such a busy background, I kept the rest of the page fairly simple, with just a few sweet little embellishments from the kit, and a couple of paper and canvas banner/traingle pieces from my stash.

Thank you so much for having a peek! And for all of those who have already subscribed to the kit - wondeful!!!!
Keep an eye out in the store for a restock of the Autumnal Bliss kit.

Magnifique Mixed Media November Kit w/Erin Blegen

Good morning! I really hope you all had a great weekend and are rested up and ready for a new Monday!

A good way to start the week is with a project share, and today I finally get to show you my first creation using the Magnifique Mixed Media November Kit "Autumnal Bliss"~! We revealed to you last week that  my sister Kelly Foster and I were given the opportunity to put together a Limited Edition Mixed Media Kit. It sold out in no time- and I'm SO happy to reveal that we will be continuing with a monthly mixed media kit! We've already planned out the next few months and I just know you're going to LOVE what we have in store for you! The great thing about these kits is that they can be used as stand-alone kits, but will also coordinate with the monthly main kit from C'est Magnifique as well! So if you're already a subscriber to the standard kits, this is just an added bonus for you! For non-kit subscribers, you will find everything you need for your mixed media cravings, and if you wish to reserve one for yourself on a monthly basis, you can subscribe at any time!

Here is my first project, an autumn-inspired canvas:

"Autumn"
Where I live, we are so fortunate to have some of the most beautiful Fall colors around! We get the blazing reds, oranges, yellows, etc with the various maple and other trees that are natural to our area. This year we got to enjoy about a week of this valiant display before the winds picked up and the leaves were lost. In this canvas, I wanted to capture the "deadening" of the season with all of the neutrals, browns, and creams- while adding just the splash of color that we get for that short time in Autumn before it is taken from us.

Along the edges of my canvas, I applied both Gelatos, as well as the "Autumn Butternut" Twinkling H2O's.

I combined the "Raspberry Wine" Twinkling H2Os, the "Plum Pudding" Shimmerz Spritz, and just a hint of "African Jade" Twinkling H2Os for the splash of color beneath my photos.

I used modeling paste and the mask to create the stencil details, and pooled the "Autumn Butternut" Twinkling H2Os over top and let them dry on their own to get the thick, rich coloring here. The Blue Fern Studios piece was given texture with embossing powder before I applied the "Raspberry Wine" & "Autumn Butternut" Twinkling H2Os with my fingertip over top. The less diluted the Twinkling H2Os are, the thicker they are which makes them easy to add color in this way.

Here's another look at the kit in its entirety. If you missed out on this one, keep an eye out for the middle of the month when we will be revealing our December Magnifique Mixed Media Kit- it's a GOOD one! If you would like to subscribe the the mixed media kit, see details on how to join HERE.

Thank-you so much for coming by today!
