Olga's July Kit Projects and Mixed Media Layout Tutorial

Hello everyone! Olga here today. I want to share the layouts I created with the July Kit. I also have a mixed media layout tutorial to share!

I choose a piece of paper for the page and applied texture gel over a stencil. Then I painted over the pattern with Distress Ink.

I choose the photos and stamped text onto the wooden sticks. Try on on a page!

Then I added a bit of Scotch paper tape to the background and a lot of spray mist.

I added stamping with archival black ink and green inks to the background.

Next I glued all my embellishments down. Using a black pen, I drew twigs and leaves and I used Glossy Accents to attach sequins.

I just love the combination of blue and red colors! I really enjoyed working with this kit and created another 2 pages and 2 postcards! I offer them for your attention!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects! The July Kits are available for purchase now from the C'est Magnifique Store.

Olga's Mixed Media Layout Tutorial with the July Kit

Hello everyone! Olga here today. I want to share how to make this mixed media layout with the July Kit. Paper from Tim Holtz just made for such fun work!

I choose a piece of paper for the page and painted it with white gesso in the places where there will be all the decorations. Then I placed the embellishments and picture onto the page, but did not stick, simply defined their place.

I applied texture gel over a stencil onto the dry gesso. Then, I choose a few red colors of spray for a bright background.

Then I added stamping with archival black ink and a bit of Scotch paper tape to the background.

Now I pasted all my embellishments and stickers down. I added the alphabet from the Moxxie Cork Alpha Cardstock Sticker Sheet.

In some places, I put ink for embossing, generously sprinkled copper embossing powder over the ink, shook off the excess with a broad brush, and heat set.

The final part of the work - splatters of mist and I used Glossy Accents to attach sequins.

Thank you for your attention! I hope you find this tutorial inspirational! If you are interested in the July Kit or Add-Ons a limited amount of kits are available for purchase from the C'est Magnifique Store while supplies last!

Olga's June Kit Projects and Mixed Media Layout Tutorial

Hello everyone! Olga here with you today. I want to share the layouts I created with the June Kit. I also have a mixed media layout tutorial to share!

I made a page about the wonderful and long-awaited summer.

I chose a piece of paper - Blue Fern Studios "Friperies" - and applied acrylic gel to the portion of the page that will be painted in the next step.

I applied texture gel over a stencil onto the dry acrylic gel. Then, I seletced a few favorite colors of alcohol inks for a bright background.

After I finished coloring the paper with alcohol inks, I added decoration - flowers, lace, a photo, cut out paper flowers and tangled threads. I added stamping with archival black ink and Rub-On Transfers to the background.

I used Glossy Accents to attach sequins and Kaisercraft Pearl Brads to the page.

I used acrylic gel to brush on the very beautiful lavender Glitter from C'est Magnifique. It is absolutely stunning and adds a tender and delicate glow. I love it!

The final part of the work - splatters of mist and alcohol inks and ink on the edges of the paper with Distress Ink. I also added Alphabet Stickers from the Prima Sticker Sheet.

I also made two pages in the same style as the first.

Thank you for your attention! I hope you find this tutorial inspirational! I have really enjoyed playing with this kit! If you are interested in the June Kit or Add-Ons a limited amount of kits are available for purchase from the C'est Magnifique Store while supplies last!
