I have some wonderful news for all of you. We have decided to add a another monthly challenge to our blog. We already have the sketch challenge, which runs from the first to the last day of the month. This new challenge will run from the 15th of the month to the 14th of the following month. That way we will always have two challenges going on and you will have an entire month to work on each of them.
This new challenge is our "Word Challenge". Each month we will give you a word, and you must use that word (or a form of it) on your layout. The word must be visible in either your title or your journaling.
Our first word will be "Grow". There are so many ways you can use this word. The words growth, growing, grows, grown, etc. can also be used.
You do not have to be a member of C'est Magnifique Kits to participate in this challenge, but there will be an additional prize randomly awarded to someone who uses one of our kits. More about that in a little bit.
We will be awarding 2 prizes for this challenge. The first will be this awesome prize package that Leslie has put together (with a minimum value of $40). One lucky winner, chosen by a random draw, will receive this prize. The winner will also have an opportunity to shop in our
store and any purchases will be shipped with the prize package, free of charge, anywhere in the world!
Because we are a kit club, our second prize will be a $10 gift certificate to the
C'est Magnifique Store. This prize will be randomly awarded to someone who obviously uses one of our kits to create their layout. This is our way of saying 'thank you' to our members.
We will also be choosing 5 layouts to feature.
What do you have to do to enter our "Word" challenge?
1. You must become a follower of our blog. If you're already a follower, we thank you!
It's easy to become follower, just look for this on the left side our blog.
2. Complete a layout using the word "Grow", and add it to our blog
using the Inlinkz tool at the very bottom of this post.
Deadline for entering the sketch challenge is midnight, August 14 (US time).

Here are a couple of examples from Design Team members using the
August Kit
and the word "Grow" on their projects.
"
Growing Together" by
Nadia Cannizzo
Here are my 2 girls walking together in a march for our Greek
Independence Day here in Sydney. The little one just follows on and is
growing up much faster than I would like because she had no choice. She
has to keep up with an older sibling. It was hard having 2 children 2
years apart...I won't lie. But it surely is paying off now that they are
together and look for each other all the time.

Using this months “Word” challenge, I created an album for my niece.
This album captures various years of her life in which I watched her
grow into a vivacious young adult. On the Petaloo vine spray, I painted
it with Gesso and inked it to match the colors of the paper I was
working with. Love that Gesso, it can mask a lot of sins and change
an object that’s a color you can’t work it, or just want to change it to
the colors of your choice.

I'm so excited that we have added another challenge! When I heard that
our first word was going to be "Grow", I immediately thought of my
granddaughter, Eryn. When she was younger (3 or 4 years old), I asked
her to stop growing and stay little forever. She looked at me with sad
eyes and said, "Grandma, I can't". I'm sure you've had those times when
you wish time would stand still. It just reminds me to enjoy each and
every day.
