Evelyn's March Kit Projects

Hi all, Evelyn here today sharing my March Kit projects. This kit is absolutely romantic and reminds me of the past, so my projects are in the shabby chic and vintage style. I used the Main Kit, Flower Add-On, Embellishment Add-On and Magnifique Mixed Media Kit on each of the projects that I am sharing today.

For the first layout I used an old photo of my mother back from the early 60s.

from my stash: stencil and Archival Ink Potting soil, Distress ink seedless preserves

I matted the photo with the cork from the Main Kit and the pretty crochet doily, cut in the half. I love the acetate clock faces! At last I added some Prima Say It In Crystals Gems for a little bling.

The wood letters I first coated with Gesso and then colored with mist. I used a stencil with the Antique Mocha paint included in the Mixed Media Kit to add a print to the background. The stamp is from the Mixed Media Kit too.

The pretty tulle flower I colored with Lindy's Stamp Gang mist.

My second project is a little "quick-and-easy" card. The papers in the Main Kit are so gorgeous and the flowers and leaves from the Flower Add-On are so very nice, so you don´t need much more - only add a little picture, a word sticker and some interest on the background - done!

from my stash: Gesso, picture from LaBlanche

My next layout I wanted to make romantic. The lace patterned paper from the Main Kit is perfect for the little vintage picture.

from my stash: white cardstock, modeling paste, pearl pen, little white flowers, Embossing powder white, Lindy´s Stamp Gang mists, Distress ink worn lipstick, stickles

The Kaisercraft Aubergine Paper Blooms are so elegant! And look at the tiny clothes hanger - isn't it gorgeous?

I framed the picture with Ruby Rock-It Mother Nature Trimmings. For the background matting I cut one of the papers in pieces, distressed and inked it.

I enjoyed to work with this kit very much. You can see one more layout on the first of March for the March Sketch Challenge reveal.

Deonna's March Kit Projects

Hi! Deonna here today sharing the projects that I created with the March Kit. The elegant papers in the Kaisercraft Betsy's Couture collection were perfect for this vintage photo.

I played up the sepia tones in the photo by pairing it with brown and cream patterned papers. The pale blue ribbons and gems in the kit were the perfect way to add some subtle color to my page.

I used the Metallic Copper Embossing Powder and Aztec Mocha Paint from the Mixed Media Kit on the piece of Blue Fern chipboard from the Embellishment Add-On.

I fussy cut this vintage lady from a piece of Betsy's Couture patterned paper and attached her to the page with some adhesive foam for added dimension.

I had a lot of fun framing the photo with a mix of handmade flowers and blooms from the Flower and Embellishment Add-Ons.

I went off-the-page for my second project and created a lighted topiary for my home. I'm so ready for Spring!

I filled this decorative cage with a mix of handmade paper flowers and blooms from the Flower and Embellishment Add-Ons.

I have really enjoyed playing with this kit! If you are interested in the March Kit or Add-Ons a limited amount of kits are available for purchase from the C'est Magnifique Store while supplies last! Make sure to come back here on the 28th for the full March Kit reveal.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Patti's March Kit Projects

Hello everyone! Patti here today sharing the projects I created using the March Kit! I absolutely love the mixed media style that is so popular lately, but I am just no good at achieving the look. I wanted to show how you can create traditional layouts with the products included in the March Main Kit. The Kaisercraft papers are perfect for vintage photos, but you can use them for other photos as well.

This first page is our youngest son and his wife. They just had their first child (our second precious Granddaughter) on Feb.6th!!! I used the paper, alphas and stickers from the Main Kit. I also used one of the large blooms. I made the two little paper blooms by cutting circles from the paper and adding buttons with a pearl on top. I did some faux stitching as well. I added one of the little burlap bows for the finishing touch.

This page is photos of the day she was born! Such a sweet baby girl! I made the blooms from the paper in the kit with a few punches. The leaves too. I cut some of the swirls from the paper and cut some circles matted in the darker paper. I added faux stitching again and some liquid pearls!

This is a really simple page. This is our first Granddaughter. I used the edge of the circle paper here with lots of the alpha stickers. I cut some of the swirls again and punched a couple of tiny butterflies!

OK, I had to to a heritage page too! The paper just screamed for it! This is Sarah Emilene Smith, she is on my Grandfather's side of the family. I thought her outfit looked just like the lady in the paper! I used the cork for a photo matt and punched a couple of butterflies from it. It's thin enough to punch easily! I also inked the lady and gent silhouettes and used them. The two extra blooms are from a previous Main kit.

My last project does use some mists! I used three different colors of mist on a piece of cream cardstock for these circles. I wanted to match the colors in the paper and the butterfly! I love the pretty mint colored lace included in the Main kit. I cut little paper bows and added pearl centers. I used the patterned squares from the packaging for the little tags.

This kit was a little bit of a challenge for me, the colors were not what I usually work with but it pushed me to go out of my comfort zone a little bit! You can purchase the March Mixed Media Kit and the Add-Ons now from the C'est Magnifique Store. Don't forget to check back to see what else the team has to share with you!

Dana's March Kit Projects

Hi! Dana here today sharing the projects that I created with the March Kits. I used the Main Kit, Flower Add-On, Embellishment Add-On and Magnifique Mixed Media Kit on each of the projects that I am sharing today.

Personal Supplies: Stencil

This first layout is of my sister on her wedding day. The elegant papers in the Kaisercraft Betsy's Couture collection were perfect for this photo of my sister in her beautiful gown.

I layered patterned papers, product packaging and acetate under the photo. The mini burlap bows, grommets and gem dots are such fun embellishments!

I used a stencil with the Antique Mocha paint included in the Mixed Media Kit to add a print to the background of my page. I added a pop of color with Lindy's Stamp Gang Maidenhair Fern Green Mist. I love the mix of flowers and leaves in the Flower Add-On. I used that here to make a small flower cluster.

Personal Supplies: Stencil

For my second layout I went in a masculine direction and used an old photograph of my Grandfather.

I used the Prima Turquoise Stone Chalk Edger from the February Kit with a stencil to add some color the the background of this page. I used a watermark ink re-inker with a paintbrush to add watermark ink over the roman numerals on the patterned paper and then heat embossed them with the Metallic Copper Embossing Powder from the Mixed Media Kit.

Personal Supplies: Stencil

I used a vacation photo from a trip to New Orleans for this layout. I think the old cemeteries there are so beautiful! I played up the sepia tones in the photo by pairing it with brown and cream patterned papers. The pale blue ribbons and die-cuts in the kit were the perfect way to add some subtle color to the page.

One of my favorite items in the kit is the piece of adhesive cork paper. I used a doily die to cut a decorative pattern from the cork sheet. The cork paper cuts extremely well and adds great texture to my page.

I topped the stained wood flower buttons from the Embellishment Add-On with gem dots for a touch of sparkle.

Personal Supplies: Stencil

I used another photo of my sister on her wedding day for this layout. Her shoes were so beautiful that they deserve to be remembered in a special way!

I used a stencil with the C'est Magnifique Tuscan Teal Paint from the Mixed Media Kit to add a bright blue floral pattern the my page. I used the Metallic Copper Embossing Powder from the Mixed Media Kit on the piece of Blue Fern chipboard from the Embellishment Add-On.

I fussy cut this vintage lady from a piece of Betsy's Couture patterned paper. I topped her hat with some feathers from the Mixed Media Kit.

Personal Supplies: Stencil

I had a blast creating this colorful cover for the mini album from the Mixed Media Kit. I spritzed the Newspaper Resist Canvas with Lindy's Stamp Gang Maidenhair Fern Green Mist. I added texture by mixing whipped spackle with C'est Magnifique Tuscan Teal Paint and spreading that over a stencil.

The small chipboard piece along the bottom edge of the album is from the Blue Fern Studios Ornate Shelf. I painted it with the Aztek Mocha paint and topped it with a gem dot.

I have really enjoyed playing with this kit! If you are interested in the March Kit or Add-Ons a limited amount of kits are available for purchase from the C'est Magnifique Store while supplies last! Make sure to stop by here on the 28th for the full March Kit reveal.

I have one more layout to share for the March Sketch Challenge reveal on March 1st.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Welcome New Designer Solange Marques!

We would like to welcome Solange Marques as our newest member of the design team! Solange has created some stunning layouts with the February Kit! Here is more about Solange in her own words:

I am Solange Marques and I live in Curitiba, Brazil. I've been in love with scrapbooking since 2004. I have been married to JoĂŁo for almost 29 years and I have five children: Camila (28), Alexandre (27), Bruno (24), Gabriela (18) and Miguel (13). We also have a granddaughter, Clara (5) and a grandson , Samuel (2). I majored in Architecture and Fine Arts (perhaps that explains my huge passion for painting and its constant presence in my layouts). I've worked in a bank as a jewelry appraiser for almost 25 years, which consumes most of my time and keeps me from having a greater production of scrapbooking pages. I love mixing techniques, mainly involving paint and textures. I think one of my most recognizable technique is to merge the photo with the background (this is my favorite technique)! I love the artsy style!

Today I'm happy to share my first projects as a Design Team member. For all layouts I used the February Main Kit and Paper Add-on.

For my first layout I used a photo of myself on my birthday last month.
