Vicky's first C'est Magnifique reveal!

Vicky blogging today with my very first C'est Magnifique reveal! I'm posting most of my projects made with the gorgeous December kit today (2 more projects to come). This kit features some gorgeous Inkido and Kaisercraft papers, plus perfectly matched embellishments. I love Christmas kits and had so much fun with this one!

Up first is a picture of my daughter's first Christmas - asleep most of the day, LOL! These 3 papers were my favourite ones in this kit. I added some diamond dust to the cream roses to compliment the sparkling vine. I inked, ripped and rolled the edges of my papers to add texture. Everything on here is from the main kit and the flower add-on!

Next is a layout of my middle child as a toddler. I loved his little bear snowsuit! I added some doilies on here to complement the gorgeous lace in the kit. The details in the Inkido papers are so cute too! I simply finished the chipboard with some brown ink for a natural wood look. Everything else is from the main kit and the flower add-on. Awesome zipper flowers this month!

This is a display layout for my fireplace mantle... I do a new one for every season. Again, I added a doily on here. There was some pretty red ink in this kit so I made good use of it on the chipboard (along with some splattered gesso) and around the banner quote - that I cut from one of the papers. Everything else is from the main kit and the flower add-on. Love the red flowers - so festive!

Here is a card and tag set I made with some kit scraps for my mother in-law. I used a few leaves from my stash on here. I inked the paper edges for a classy vintage feel. Everything else is from the main kit and the flower add-on. Such a great flower variety in this kit!

And yet another card and tag set made from this kit for my father in-law. I used a few leaves from my stash on here too. Heavy distressing on these for a shabby look. Everything else is from the main kit and the flower add-on. Love the vintage images on the Inkido papers!

This kit was so was so easy to work with and I still have 2 more projects to reveal very soon! Leslie really puts together incredible kits and it is my pleasure to be designing for C'est Magnifique!

The Magnifique Mixed Media December Kit w/Erin Blegen

Good morning! Erin Blegen here with you today to share a project that I created using the December Magnifique Mixed Media Kit. This kit is packed with a pleasant variety of medias and supporting embellishments making it a strong, stand-alone kit as well as one that beautifully coordinates with this month's main kit.

I hope you've enjoyed what you've seen thus far! Here is a first look at what I've done this month:

"Big Moment" Mini Album Cover
This kit allows for deep, rich colors and textures which I tried to emphasize on my project today.

My background was first primed with gesso before using the Shimmerz mist. I like to work in threes, so I spritzed the top, right, and lower right of the album cover. On top of that I used modeling paste and a mask to add texture over these same spritzed areas. The Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powder was sprinkled randomly on the masked areas before setting with a heat gun.

Using my finger, I applied both the Viva Decor crackle paint and Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam to the edges and corners of the album. I hit those areas with the heat gun as well. Some stamping with the Prima chalk edger and stamp was added randomly throughout.

For the chipboard, I used the TCW Balzer Bits mask from the kit along with some clear embossing ink and stamped over top the mask with the ink before sprinkling on the LSG embossing powder and setting with the heat gun. That way I got the scattered design with just a hint of script from the mask.

More December Kit Sneak Peeks with Sandi ....

Hello, everyone! Sandi here with you today, sharing a few sneak layouts using the December C'est Magnifique Kit, "Holiday Magic."  Leslie always puts together the most beautiful kits but being a lover of all things Christmas, this one truly "sang my name!"

"Christmas Greetings"

First up I went a little outside my normal box and scrapped in the upper left-hand corner and used the printed red paper as my background instead of a more solid design.  In the Spirit of Christmas, I decided that paper tearing was in order! The flowers from the FAO are so gorgeous and perfectly compliment the remainder of the kit! You will also see a bit of the Blue Fern Studios Graduated Circles that I gesso'd and brush with the VersaColor chalk ink. The chipboard and lace make for layering fun!

The photo is of the slimline tree that we had to buy last year to better acommodate our downstairs floor plan.

To complete my layout I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I've used: Gesso and pearls.

"Time to Shop"

Next is a photo of my 3 darling daughters on a recent annual Girl's Shopping Day.  I loved the blue and beige tones of some of the Kit paper that are so perfect for any type of wintery page. I did a bit of stenciling, more paper tearing and layering. I added in the Blue Fern Studios Shabby Bricks as a layer and left them bare.

The neutral flowers are just beautiful against these Inkido papers!

To complete my layout I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I've used: Stencil, molding paste, seam binding and jute.

"Christmas Thoughts"

This was actually the first layout I made using the December "Holiday Magic" Kit.  I am a big angel collector and have tons of angels! One year I decided to put about a dozen of my Christmas  angels on my tree. This photo is of a fave!  My layout is based on a sketch by dear friend Nanne' Harry.  Again, I've used the BFS Graduated Circles, treating them with gesso, some stamping and then used some mist.

I loved adding the Heidi Swapp Color Shine on this page. It really sparkles and helped emphasize the starry stencil from my stash!

To complete my layout I have used the Main Kit, the Flower Add-on and the Embellishment Add-on.
From my stash I've used: Stencil, molding paste, Gesso, stamp, cheesecloth and gold paper doilies.

Thanks for stopping by today! Stay tuned for more "Holiday Magic" projects from the Design Team as well as projects from Erin and Kelly using the C'est Magnifique Mixed Media Kit.

Hi everybody! It is my turn to show you some sneak layouts with the December kit. I used some photos showing the Swedish tradition on Dec 13th - it's the day of Saint Lucia. The children are dressed as starboys, luciaa, maids or little santas and sing Christmas carols.

First - my son as a starboy.

Then my children as little Santas.

For this layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on and the embellishment add-on.

And here is my daughter as the lucia.

From my stash: gesso, leaves

And here she is again in front of the rest of the children at her school.

First Look at the December Kit with Tracey

I am first up to share my pages created with the magical and nostalgic C'est Magnifique December Kit!
Anyone who knows me,knows that I love Christmas (all year long!) so I always look forward to the December Kits and this one exceeded my expectations!

My first page was inspired by my Wal-Mart pizza box! It struck me as looking in a window so I used the box as the base for my very 3-D creation,"A Window in Time".

I pleated my "curtains" by inspiration from Gabrielle Polloco and added the Webster's ruffled ribbon. A gorgeous Cardinal red ink by Versa Color is included in the kit and I used it to ink the fun Blue Fern circle frame. My window "box" came from a Kaisercraft frame. The pinecones were picked in Vermont and gessoed. The vintage light bulbs were a discovery at my church's bazaar. I modge-podged and glittered them.Well, I kind of glittered a lot of the page and it looks pretty and glistening in real life!

Some close-ups:

My second page focuses on the quieter, spiritual side of Christmas and the lovely ivory neutrals in the kit.

The baby Jesus in the photo is my daughter, Naomi in the Christmas pageant.  If you look closely her little hand is reaching up to touch "Mary"s cheek. Can I tell you there wasn't a dry eye in the Church? Because she was still at the foster care status, I could not put her last name in the program and she was listed simply as "Baby Naomi". A sweet parishioner actually wrote a letter to the editor about how she was moved by Baby Naomi. It was a very special Christmas!
How gorgeous is this lace? I draped it over a dollar store doily and used it as a banner with one of the many die-cuts in the kit. Lots of distressing, tearing and gesso complete the page!

My last page for today is just about the sweetness of a 5 year old and a kindly mall Santa who took the time during his break to chat with her.

Everything on the page is included in the kit and add-ons. I randomly punched the edges with a Martha Stewart star punch before hitting the edges with my Zutter distresser. The Blue Fern circle chippie was painted ivory and stamped with a Something Tattered design stamp.

I will have more to share on my blog on reveal day,November 30.
Thanks for letting me share with you today!
I hope I brought a little Christmas cheer your way!

Our New Designer and a Peek at our December Kit!

We are happy to announce that we have added a new designer to our team at C'est Magnifique.  Please join us in welcoming Vicky Alberto, who is already busy behind the scenes creating with our December kit.  You are going to love her style!  We will let Vicky tell you a little about herself below.

Hi, my name is Vicky Alberto (aka Simply Paper on some gallery sites) and I live in Alberta, Canada with my husband and three children. After having my last child, I decided not to return to a corporate marketing job so I could raise my three young children for a while. With ten years of experience in the marketing industry, scrapbooking was a natural extension of my work world and fills a creative void. I am now addicted to this fantastic art form that I will embrace for the rest of my life.

My blog address is http://simplypaperandcreativity.blogspot.com where I chat about my work, the fantastic companies I am honoured to design for, and share my tutorials. I have been blogging for three years and am overwhelmed that I already have so many wonderful followers. This industry has such a deeply supportive and kind online network of ladies. I have “met” the most amazing people from all over the world through various online communities and have had the opportunity to "work" with some of the most talented ladies in the industry.

I describe my style as “a little shabby and a lot of chic”. For layout projects, I like each layout to look like a piece of art so I keep my titles short and journal on the back (sometimes) - to keep a clean look to my pages. I enjoy working with vintage/romantic style papers and adore adding distressed layers, doilies, chipboard and lots of flowers to my projects. Some of my projects even feature handmade flowers and my tutorials are all listed on my blog (quick links in the right sidebar).

I am thrilled to design for C'est Magnifique kits and that I get to "play" with so many fantastic international products!

Hi, it's Valerie Serfozo today.  Let's get this started with the announcement of our "Bits & Pieces" Giveaway.  One of our lucky blog readers has won the bits and pieces from Leslie's October kit!  So, let's see who is the winner this month.

Thanks to all of you who entered our giveaway and advertised it on your blog, as Eleonora did.

We sold out of our November Mixed Media kit (our very first one!) in a matter of hours, but we are pleased to let you all know that we have a few more in the C'est Magnifique Store.  There are only a few remaining, and when they're gone.......they're gone for good.   Here is another look at the Mixed Media kit.  It is perfect as a stand alone kit for mixed media projects, and also looks great with our November scrapbook kit!http://cestmagnifiquekits.com/cart/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2504

Today is our last day to feature projects from our November Kit.  Here's another look at the kit:

I am excited to be able to share the layouts I created using this awesome kit.

On this layout titled "Fall at the Farm", I kept the design simple (at least for me) since I had this beautiful bordered paper to work with.  Other than the kit and add-ons, I also used some mist and stamps.

I fell in love with beautiful blues in this kit.  Maybe it's not exactly what you would expect to see in a fall kit, but it works so well with other colors.  I inked the edges of just about everything on this layout to bring it all together.

Don't you just love it when you look at a photo and know that you have the perfect paper for it? - or the other way around, which is what happened to me.  When I opened this kit, I knew that I wanted to use this photo of my niece.  I used a die and some distress ink to create some of my own leaves for this layout.

And lastly, I did a little boy layout.  The stripes on this particular piece of patterned paper just seemed appropriate for this photo of my nephew.

Along with the rest of the design team, I loved working with this kit.  The colors are just perfect for this time of year.

The holidays are quickly approaching, and so is our December Kit.  Check back in a couple of days when we will be giving you a peek at the paper and add-ons we have coming up!
