Deonna

What a great day announcement!

I am so excited and proud to announce that I have purchased C’est Magnifique Kits.  I can’t tell you all how long this has been a dream for me.  I have followed C’est Magnifique Kits for a long time and have loved every thing about the business.  It is just a dream come true and I am ready to make the most of it!
On top of that this all comes at my birthday so WOW what a Birthday present to me.

This process of purchasing C’est Magnifique Kits was done in a rather short amount of time because we would like to keep every thing up to the high standards as it has been since the beginning with Leslie.  We have been working together now to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Camilla, Karita, Ulrika and Vicky are staying on as  designers on the C’est Magnifique Kits Design team and Valerie as Design Team Coordinator.  We will continue to have the monthly sketches, except for this month, as time did not permit.  I will continue to approach this business as my main objective.

As I am an avid scrapper myself I know what we all love and I plan on keeping the kits in the same style.  Leslie has committed to help me design the kits for a while. I am determined to grow C’est Magnifique Kits and make it something even better!

Some time in the near future I will have a design team call to get the design team back to what it was and also plan to have guest designers as Leslie has had in the past.  Leslie and I are going to be working together for some time to help with this transition and make sure everything moves smoothly, so no fear - things will be great!  It is so funny that after all the years I have been a crafter I have finally worked this business into my life as the new owner of C’est Magnifique kits.

I have been photographing my life and the life of my family since the little square flash cubes were on top of a camera.  I feel that I am the historian for my LIFE and if I can leave anything of meaning to the world what could be better than documenting a great ride.  No one has a perfect life and that is what is so special about being a scrapper.  I can tell the good and the not so good but everything that has happened in my life has led me to the spot I am standing in right now and I love it.  No regrets!

We are going to change one thing, which was a joint decision.  We are going to remove the forums and create our community on our existing Facebook page.   Keep that in mind when you want any information and design inspiration.  We will still have the blog and store at http://cestmagnifiquekits.blogspot.com and contacting us will be even easier with Facebook.

Now a little about me, I have a wonderful husband that has supported and encouraged me to go with my gut on this venture, two wonderful sons 24 and 27 years old and they have been the light of my life plus combined family of 4 adult children and 10 grandchildren.  They all have been used as the focus of my photography for years, whether they liked it or not.

I am originally from Ohio via Naples Florida but have lived in the Memphis area since 2005.  I have a large and loving scrappy family with some of my closest friends being those I have met while scrapping.

Some days I think I should pinch myself just to make sure this is all real.

Remember life is a ride so enjoy every memory.

A Bittersweet Goodbye!

The time has finally come for the sale to be complete and for Deonna to step in as the new head of C'est Magnifique Kits!

I just wanted to come on and thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all of the continued support and business over the last 3 years.  It has been a great ride for me - I have just loved designing the kits and getting to know so many of you via email and phone calls.

But, like I mentioned earlier, the time has come for me to free up some time to take better care of my son and to continue to grow Blue Fern Studios.

With that being said, this isn't technically 'goodbye' as I am still part of the industry (and will be helping Deonna plan the kits for a few months), but 'best of luck' to all of you!

And look to the blog on the 1st to learn all about your new owner, Deonna!

A few June kit shares from Vicky

What a variety of gorgeous colours and embellishments to play with in the June kit! The neutral colours of the 7Dots papers complement the playful KaiserCraft ones so well and there are so many gorgeous elements included in this kit too.

Up first is something I made for my parents - this is one of my baby photos. Everything on this layout is from the main kit and the flower add-on with exception of the doily (from my stash). Pink is my favourite colour so it was fitting for this layout and the white die cuts are absolutely gorgeous!

I just love this candid picture of my younger son when he was only 4 years old. The ramps are MUCH bigger now (he really scares me sometimes). Everything on this layout is from the main kit and the flower add-on. Gotta love a paper with a printed doily!

This is a sweet photo taken on my daughter's first Easter. Once again, all of the elements are from the main kit and the flower add-on - even the pretty little doilies! Oh and I adore the elegant pink ribbon roses too.

Thanks for joining me on the blog today! Be sure to check out the full June kit reveal tomorrow!

June kit with Ulrika

Today it´s my turn to show you what I created with the amazing June kit! I totally loved it! I think it gave me a chance to both create with lots of colors and also in a much calmer color scheme. Perfect!

For my first page I chosed a colorful and fun style. I used black as contrats color to get the other colors to pop a little bit extra.

I used supplies from the Main kit, Flower Add-on, Embellishment Add-on and the Mixed media kit.
From my own stash I used Gesso, black paint, stencils, Edge punch and black cardstock.

My next page is much more soft and romantic. I did some fussy cutting and layered both flowers and papers.

I used supplies from the Main kit, Flower Add-on, Embellie Add-on and rub-ons from the Mixed-media kit.
From my own stash I used: cardstock, edge punch and a sewing machine.

I also created two different cards with this kit. This one is very romantic and in many layers.

I used supplies from the Main kit for this card.
From my own stash I used the ribbon and cardstock.

My next card is much more clean and simple. A calm color scheme and a big bow for vocal point.

I used supplies from the Main kit and the Flower Add-on.
From my own stash I used a border punch and a seam binding ribbon.

Okay! Over to a layout again. I just love this paper! I only used one paper and added mostly chipboards and flowers. Rub-ons is perfect to work with!

I used supplies from the Main kit, flower Add-on, Mixed-media kit and Embellie kit.
From my own stash I used black paint and a stamp.

Are you still with me? This is a long blog post. But the kit was so much fun to work with! For my last layout I used a calm and neutral color scheme. I just added a little bit of black for contrasts.

I used supplies from the Main kit, Embellishment Add-on, Flower Add-on and the Mixed media kit.
From my own stash I used Distresss Ink and black paint.

I hope you liked what I did with the kit? I also want to say a big Thank You to Leslie for giving me the chance to work with her! She is one wonderful girl!

Hugs from Ulrika!

My First Two Projects With The New June Kit! By Kim Price

Hi everyone! Today I want to share with you my first two projects using the brand new June kit from C'est Magnifique. I can honestly say this has been my favorite kit so far, and I've really enjoyed creating with this one.

Supplies used: C'est Magnifique Main kit, Flower Add-on, Embellishment Add-on and MMM kit.
12x12 white cardstock, heavy gesso, texture paste and small circle stencil from my stash.

For my first project I've combined two of my great loves - mixed media and shabby chic. I've used lots of pastel shades from the kit, including art mediums found in the Magnifique Mixed Media kit combined with super heavy gesso from my own stash along with some fabulous flowers, die cuts and patterned papers to build up my layered look.

I've used one of the large Prima blooms found in the June flower add-on to create a frame for my circle punched photograph, adding more flowers around the edges along with a Prima Crocheted Icon from the June Embellishment Add-on.

Supplies used: C'est Magnifique Main Kit, Embellishment Add-on and MMM kit.
From my stash: 12x12 white cardstock, gesso, texture paste, doily stencil.

My second layout today using the new June kits features a treasured photograph of Holly and Courtney taken on Holly's first day of school. Aren't they just adorable?

I've used lots of layers of the brand new Kaisercraft Kaleidoscope patterned papers, which is my very favorite Kaisercraft collection for a very long time, building up color and texture and adding other detail using a lace die cut, pretty printed die cut flowers, a shabby wooden cloud embellishment and that gorgeous angel resin.

And here is a closer look at my layout detail along with some of my background work created using a stencil from my stash, texture paste and the Ayeeda Matte Turquoise paint found in this month's MMM kit.

Thanks for dropping by, hope you find some inspiration from my first two June projects.
