Shanna's January Projects

Hello everyone Shanna here today I am the January guest and am super excited I get to share with you all today.

I am a stay at home mom who started crafting a few years ago. I started out with card making and coloring with copics then I fell down the rabbit hole of mixed media, and scrapbooking, and art journaling, and the list goes on! I am addicted to art in all forms and love sharing with you!

If your interested you can check out my links below and follow me!

Up first is my first layout. I loved using the different elements from the main kit.

You can see here I used some of the drywall tape from the Mixed Media Kit and I love the wood journaling card from the Embellishment Kit.

For my second layout I created is a beautiful picture of my daughter when she was a baby.

I really love the flower and leaves I used on this layout.  This flower came from the Flower Add-On.

I created a video on how I made this layout. Check it out HERE!

My third layout was just absolute fun.

I used the cardboard sheet with a circle punch and used a sticker from the alpha sheet that was included in the kit.

I had cut out this design that was stitched in from a piece of cloth that was included in the kit with some ribbon and tucked it behind my photo to add a great frame.

For my last creation I made a set of cards.

I layered papers and use the cardboard texture to somewhat create a layer on the card.

I sprayed the flowers from the main kit with spray from my stash to give them a whole new look. I added the word from a die cut in my collection and some plain black cardstock from my stash as well.

For the second I tossed in one of the wood hearts that was covered in gesso and given a spray of mist from my stash. I also tucked in some of the string from the kit.  Again I used the cardboard with a sticker from the alpha sticker sheet and top the flower and tucked in some leaves too.

I hope you found some inspiration from my creations I shared today! Make sure you keep checking back to see what the rest of the team has created!

C'est Magnifique Use Your Scraps Challenge

Hello, C'est Magnifique friends!!  Welcome to C'est Magnifique Use You Scraps Challenge!
Nadine Carlier here today to host this fun challenge!

This is a fun and easy challenge, and hopefully, you will all enjoy it, but best of all it will help you use up those smaller scraps so that you aren't throwing them in a folder and forgetting about them.

For this challenge, we will be creating Cards, ATC's or Tags.  Whichever one you would like to create.
So are you ready to have some fun?  Let's dig out those scraps and let's get started!!
______________________________

This month, I made an ATC card using the Prima Wooden ATC's that came in the January Embellishment Kit and some scrap pieces from the other January Kits. The bird I fussy cut out from one of the papers in the main kit.

Here is my process video:

And some still pictures of my super easy to make ATC.

For even more inspiration Kathy Bradley made these 4 gorgeous ATC's also using the January kits.

Djamila Khiter's participation with a birthday card:

Tina's January Kit Projects

Happy New Year, friends! Tina here today on the blog to share my January Kits projects "New Beginnings" This Kit was so lovely with all the wonderful pastel color and lovely papers.

For my first layout I kept it to a simple style, using the beautiful chipboard flowers from the January Embellishment Kit.  The layout was set on the cardboard paper included in the January Main Kit.

Another layout using the January Flower Add on

My third layout, I just loved the yellow and lavender colors in these papers.

In the kit there were some project life pages ... Although I'm not really into scrapping that way I think its a fabulous option if you have a bunch of photos you want to get down in albums. I really do like the idea of scrapping a layout with a favorite photo and then using the project life pages to display other photos that go along with it. Anyways I just made up a fun and simple project letter page. Notes and photos can be added and slipped behind the cute papers ;)

Using the January Mixed Media Kit, I created this cute heart canvas mini.

Nadine's January Kit Projects

Happy New Year! Nadine here today sharing with you my projects using the January 2016 C'est Magnifique Kits, New Beginnings. I love the pastel colors on the Blue Fern Studios Autumn Anthology papers and all the coordinating embellishments to go with them.

For my first layout, I used a picture of me as a little girl.

Using the flowers from the January 2016 flower Add-On kit I was able to create a pretty flower cluster to go perfectly with the papers.

Tearing out a piece of the background paper and then adhering another piece of paper behind it creates a fun look with some added dimension to your page.

My next layout I wanted to show how the January 2016 New Beginnings kit can be used not only just for girly pages but for boy pages as well, so I used some pictures of my dad when he was little.

The little Mechanicals Vintage Trinkets by Prima Finnabair that are in the January 2016 Embellishment Add-On kit add a great touch to any page or card.

I also really liked the canvas banner by Prima that comes in the January 2016 Embellishment Add-On Kit.

My last layout is another picture of me when I was little on my first bicycle.

On this flower cluster, I used one of the cute stickers from the alpha sheet that came in the January 2016 main kit

I love chipboard so I was really excited to see these gorgeous Ginger Poppies in the January 2016 Embellishment Add-On kit. I painted it with the CM Blue Bubble Paint from the January 2016 Mixed Media kit.

Kathleen's kit reveal

"New Beginnings"

 C'est Magnifique January kit

My first three layouts featuring my incredibly cute grandson.  I present to you bold and fun, earthy and lively, soft and sweet.

We will now have moodboard challenges instead of the sketches.  Here is my take on our first board.

This month we have the pleasure of playing with the irresistible "Blue Fern Studios Autumn Anthology".  These papers are gorgeous with beautiful outdoorsy graphics and deep rich colors.  The kits has so many wonderful goodies to create  a wide variety of layouts and ATC's.  I am in love with this kit!

In this layout I used:
Main kit, Mixed Media kit, Flower add-on

For this layout I started with a splash mask and modeling paste.  I infused my paste with the Blue Bubble paint.  Once it dried I came back over the splashed with the blue paint to accent them and outlined it all in navy blue marker.
The picture is double matted with tag cards, doily and ribbon creating more interest.
The key crown chippie and hearts received a coat of gesso followed by a light brushing of the Mango Milk paste.
Finally I came back in with my paints to highlight the splashes, created a floral arrangement with the chippie and added a few micro beads.
Stash items:  Micro beads, blue magic marker, Cheese clothe and gesso

I will be presenting a monthly one layout three ways feature.  This is the third level.

I used the main kit, Mixed media kit and the Flower add-on.

Stash items: Micro beads, stencil and modeling paste.

I love this month's chippies!  This is a picture of my grandson's playgroup.

I used a flower stamp and the embossing powder on the blue paper.  So delicate and lovely isn't it!  I applied a light coat of gesso on the chippies then used the embossing powder from the mixed media kit.

I used the main kit, Mixed Media kit and the Flower add-on

C'est Magnifique will also begin with a project life pages section.
This is my first attempt.

This series show what a fabulous time my daughter and I had in London England a couple of years ago.  Can't wait to go back!!

This kit has all the elements to make fun and interesting picture pockets!  I look forward to creating my first album over the next twelve months.  I hope you join me and share your projects with us on facebook!

I used only the Main kit.

Thank you for stopping by and taking I peek!

C'est Magnifique 2016 Pinspiration Party

Hello C'est Magnifique friends!  Today is a day of new beginnings, when we all make changes and try new things.  With that being said, this new year with C'est Magnifique we will be doing some different challenges to inspire your creativeness and ours!  Instead of our normal sketch challenge we will be having a Pinspiration Party every month! Everyone loves a party and we are sure you will love this one too!

What is a Pinspiration Party you ask?  You create a layout based on the photos we have put together in a collage. Inspiration boards such as this one are used to inspire you in many ways.  For example with our first mood board you can add bling as in the center photo with crystals and beads.  It also has metals that you can draw inspiration from by adding metal pieces to your project.  The flowers in each of the photos are beautiful and colorful and add romance and beauty to any layout.  We all love flowers!  The bicycle along with the picture of Peonies offers inspiration with it's vintage feel. And last but not least the beautiful lacy gown gives us all fantasies of a dreamy romantic Cinderella story with lots of layers and beautiful lace.

It's that easy!

Our first challenge begins today with our first Pinspiration Party!  We hope you will all play along and of course there is a prize to be had so get out your scrapping supplies and get started!  The photos are inspired by our January kit, but you don't have to use the kit to play along.

Here are rules, they are simple and will make your project enjoyable to create!

1. The challenge runs from January 1, 2016 and ends January 31, 2016 at midnight.

2. Create a project using our January Pinspiration Board. You can create a layout, altered project, canvas, cards or  anything that inspires you from this Pinspiration Board.  You can choose inspiration from the photos, colors, textures from one of the photos or all of them!

3.  When you are done, leave a comment on the C'est Magnifique Blog with a link to your blog sharing your C'est Magnifique Pinterest Party Challenge layouts. Please title the Blog Post as January C'est Magnifique Pinterest Party Challenge.

4. Have Fun!  Can't wait to see your projects!!
