A Little Bit of Christmas

Hello.  It's Valerie Serfozo today sharing a couple of layouts that I created using the beautiful December Kit "Holiday Magic".  I am adamant about taking some time for myself in the weeks leading up to to Christmas.  Even though there are cards to address, shopping to do, and gifts to wrap, I need some time to myself.  And that time is spent creating.

It helps me get into the spirit of Christmas to use some photos from Christmas past.  On this first layout, I used a photo of my granddaughter from a past Christmas.  Going to the Conservatory and taking a photo in front of the poinsettia display has always been a tradition of ours.

I used one of the glittered chipboard pieces in the kit (December Memories) as a title for my layout.

I love the glitter and sparkle in this kit!  It's perfect for holiday photos.

I also chose to use this photo of my nephew from several years ago, because it has always been one of my favorites.  Somehow, amongst all the Christmas Eve celebrations, my nephew fell asleep on the sofa.  I can only imagine that he is having sweet dreams.

To add a little texture to the background, I tore off some pieces of masking tape, and stamped on them using the red ink in the kit.  I used the gold spray in the kit to create an embellishment by misting a flower I made with coffee filters.

I hope these Christmas layouts get you in the spirit of the holidays!
