Welcome New Designer Stina Westbom!

We would like to welcome Stina Westbom as our newest member of the design team! Stina has created some beautiful layouts with the January Kit! Here is more about Stina in her own words:

Hello, I'm Stina Westbom, a creative teacher who likes to spend time outdoors when I'm not sitting in my scrap room. I live in Piteå, Sweden with my partner Tomas, our wonderful son Jonathan, our English Setter Peak and our cat Hilda. I have been scrapping since 2005 and slipped into this hobby when I was looking for material to create a birthday card for a friend. There was never any doubt that this was something for me. I'm into most things within scrapbooking and my style is a bit of a mix between romantic and grungy.

In 2009 I was involved in starting a scrapbooking association that I now sit in the chair for. I 'm also a design team member at Scrap-Ateljén and ARTastic.

Scrapbooking is a way for me to express my creativity. To get creative with my hands gives me joy and brings peace. My inspiration I find, among other things, at scrap meetings in our local association. We are good at sharing tips, ideas, techniques and tutorials. Then there is the great source of inspiration on the internet where I'm inspired by blogs, forums, groups on Facebook and especially Pinterest which is a real gold mine.

I'm so honored to be a part of this wonderful team and this absolutely wonderful kit club. I hope you find my work inspiring and take time to stop by my blog: http://ztinaspysselvra.wordpress.com.

I really loved the papers and the embellishments in the January Kit. The colours were perfect for me.

My first project is a layout.

From my own stash I used: paint, chalk

For this layout I used products from the Main Kit and Mixed Media Kit. I cut different papers into strips and used them as a photo mat. In the Mixed Media Kit was this gorgeous blue flower. I dry brushed it with white paint and powered with Perfect Pearls.

From my own stash I used: gesso, background stamps, paint, clip and cardstock

My next layout is with my son dancing on a parking space. Here I've used products from the Main Kit, Mixed Media Kit and the Flower Add-On. On the background I have used the stencil and the texture paste from the Mixed Media Kit. Then, I cut paper strips and added them together with some stickers. Over them I put some gesso and stamps. Lastly, I decorated with flowers and metal embellishments.

From my own stash I used: gesso, punch and cardstock

Here's another layout of my son and his big eyes. On this page I've used products from the Main Kit, the Mixed Media Kit and the Flower Add-On. Here I chose to put the photo in the middle of the layout.

From my own stash I used: paint, leaves, inca gold, clips and metallic heart

My last project is an altered frame. I took the frame from the Mixed Media Kit and put many different layers on it; acrylic paint, texture paste and inca gold in different colours. I decorated with some flowers from the Flower Add-On.

If you haven't seen all the lovely products in the Mixed Media Kit and Add-Ons, hurry up and go to the C'est Magnifique Storeand look them up! They are so lovely and fun to work with! Be sure to visit the blog again tomorrow for the January Kit reveal!

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy new year!

January Kit Mixed Media Video with Guest Designer Riikka Kovasin

Thank you for stopping by today! It's Riikka here with a guest project together with a video!

I really enjoyed the papers and colors in the January kit. I guess it's not a big secret that I like turquoise and blue, so the color palette was really spot on for me, but for this first project I decided to go on a softer scale and use those beautiful neutrals and pastels in the kit. For the soft feeling I chose a photo that means a lot to me - it's my mom and my first born.

I started the page by spreading some of the crackle paste to the background and then used the stencil with two different mediums to create a touch of pattern to the page. I also included some stamping in the mix and also used the ink pad as such to add another pattern to the background. You can see the whole process in the video I made.

Besides the kit I also used a pencil, some sticker alphas, black felt pen, a grey stamp ink and a dark brown mist.

Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you an inspiring 2015!

Tammy's Projects with the January Kit!

Hi! It's Tammy and it's my turn to share what I've done with the Beautiful January Kit and the Add Ons! This kit has some pretty blues, aqua, creams, and with a dash of peachy to tangerine colors!

This first layout is my son and daughter-in-law:

I used items from the Main kit, Flower Add On, Embellishment Add On, and Mixed Media Add On Kits. I cut the shutter on the embellishment and slid the picture in. I used the Prima Circular Lattice stencil from the Mixed Media Add On Kit. I used a doily, gesso, distress ink,  card stock, and punches from my stash.

This layout is my oldest daughter and my youngest grandson:

I used items from the Main Kit, Flower Add On, Embellishment Add On, and Mixed Media Add On Kits. The white flower cluster at the top is from a previous kit, I believe November. I used a die from my stash and sewed around the edge with light blue thread.

This layout is my Dad:

I used items from the Main Kit, Flower Add On, and Embellishment Add On Kits. I really made use of  Bo Bunny's "The Avenues" Noteworthy Journaling Cards. This is all the layering behind the picture. I used gesso on the background and some on the layers, then a little splattering of ink from my stash. I used Prima wire thread from the December Kit. You always have left overs from these  great kits.

My next project is a card:

I used scraps from one of the above layouts to make this card. The flower is from the Mixed Media Add On kit, the charm and bird came from the Embellishment Add On Kit.

Here is another card:

As you can tell, I used the Flower Add On kit. The cupcake is from the Embellishment Add On kit. It is a resin, "Sweet Treat" from Melissa Frances. I used Paint and Perfect Pearls from the Mixed Media Add On Kit to color it. I used an embossing folder from my stash.

This is a Beautiful Kit. I hope you have seen something you like! Thank you for stopping by!

Patti's January Kit Projects!

I couldn't wait to share my projects with the January kit! The Lemoncraft papers included in this kit are absolutely lucious!!! The soft blues and florals are so pretty and really versatile too!!

This is my first layout, this is our youngest son on his wedding day! I used the pretty blue ribbon included in the Main kit on this, and blooms from the Main kit and Flower add-on! The little Bo-Bunny alphas are just right to finish off the page! I misted a little blue onto the page and added some leaves cut out of the lighter paper.

This page is our daughter and Granddaughter! This really shows the beautiful floral paper and gorgeous bloom. I added a few punched leaves and tiny blooms, also cut out leaves from the paper in the kit!

This is one more page of our son on his wedding day. I did some faux-stitching with my Zig markers and inked the eges of everything. Used the smaller decorated ribbon for a pretty bow!

This one is our precious Granddaugher right after she was born!!! I just lvoe the softness in this kit! The colors and patterns are beautiful!!!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects, I certainly enjoyed creating with them with this wonderful kit! Be sure to check back to see what else the team has created!!!

Dana's January Kit Projects

Hi C'est Magnifique fans! Dana here today sharing the projects that I created with the January Kits. I used the Main Kit, Flower Add-On, Embellishment Add-On and Magnifique Mixed Media Kit on each of the projects that I am sharing today.

(Personal Supplies: Doily, Twine)

I had a lot of fun creating this soft feminine page. My daughter's Easter dress from last Spring was the perfect shade of blue to pair with these gorgeous patterned papers. I carried the beautiful curves from the brocade background design through to the other layers of the page, adding circular die-cuts, trinkets, fussy cuts and wavy edged patterned papers. Orange is one of my favorite colors, so I added small orange roses and die-cuts for a fun, bright pop of color.

I painted the beautiful Blue Fern Studios Boston Lattice Chipboard (Embellishment Add-On) with C'est Magnifique Blue Bird Sparkle Chalkboard Paint from the Mixed Media Kit for a soft finish. I cut the chipboard into two pieces to use on either side of my photo. The lattice ribbon from the Mixed Media Kit was a perfect complement to the lattice design of the chipboard.

(Personal Supplies: Orange Mist, Light Molding Paste, Black Archival Ink, Clockwork Stencils)

I challenged myself to create a masculine layout with this kit. I played up the repetitive clock-themed die-cuts and charms with some large clockwork pieces that I cut from patterned paper and then distressed with the paints, ink, mist and stamps from the Mixed Media Kit.

Lastly, I created an altered frame.

(Personal Supplies: White Clothespin)

I used the paints, ink and mist from the Mixed Media Kit to alter a piece of chipboard, that I then attached the face of the pedestal frame. I dressed up the front of the frame with flowers, embellishments and ribbon.

This frame holds a 4x6 inch photo that is protected between two sheets of plastic. The photo slides into the frame from the top, which makes changing the photo quick and easy.

I'll be sharing more in-depth information and photos of each of these projects on my personal blog and I'd love to have you stop by for a visit!
I have really enjoyed playing with this kit. If you are interested in the January Kit or Add-Ons a limited amount of kits are available for purchase from the C'est Magnifique Store while supplies last!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Deonna's December Kit Projects

Hi C'est Magnifique fans! Deonna here today sharing the projects that I created with the December Kits. I used the Main Kit, Flower Add-On, Embellishment Add-On and Magnifique Mixed Media Kit on each of the projects that I am sharing today.

I painted the *custom* Blue Fern Studios chipboard snowflake with the Prima Plum Chalkboard Paint from the Mixed Media Kit. Once dry, I applied a layer of Glossy Accents over the snowflake and poured red microbeads over it. I used the same technique for the snowflake border that I punched out from Riddersholm Design patterned paper.

I used the Nutmeg Silks Acrylic Glaze and the red sparkle paint to add extra sparkle to most of the flowers on this layout.

For my second layout I scrapped a favorite family photo.

I used the checkerboard stencil with Nutmeg Silks Acrylic Glaze on the background of my page. I then hit the glaze with a heat gun to puff it up a little.

I used the green ribbon to make a photo sleeve. I lightly wet the edges of the patterned papers under the photo to help tear and roll the edges. I then distressed the edges of the papers further with ink.

I created a festive floral cluster using the flowers and ribbon from the kit.

The sophisticated papers and red accents included in this kit are perfect for love themed layouts!

I used a Martha Stewart punch on a piece of red embossed cardstock to create a fancy frame for this page. I applied the red sparkle paint from the kit around the edge of the patterned paper to help blend my punched edge with the patterned paper for a more seamless design.

The vibrant red Prima roses are my favorite item in the Flower Add-On. They really make a statement! I filled out the flower clusters with the mini roses, green wire, using it to making spiral vines, and some plastic fern pieces from my stash.

I also created a card!

I used craft cardstock for the case of this card. Before I began embellishing the card base, I ran it though my printer to add a sentiment to the inside of the card.

I distressed and inked the edges of Riddersholm paper and then matted it with red cardstock. I stretched the green ribbon through the Tim Holtz Word Band.

I tore and distressed the top corner of the card and added berries and flowers. I curled the green wire to make a vine. I added the CM red sparkle paint to the middle of the poinsettia.

I have really enjoyed playing with this kit. If you are interested in the December Kit or Add-Ons a limited amount of kits are available for purchase from the C'est Magnifique Store while supplies last!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Layouts Featuring C'est Magnifique's December Kits

Hi everyone! Debbie here today to share a few layouts I created using
C'est Magnifique's December kit, Comfort & Joy along with the add on kits.
I loved working with the vintage Riddersholm papers from their
Our Country Christmas collection.

On my first layout I used elements from the main kit, the flower add on, and the mixed media add on kit.

From my stash: stencil, stamp and ink.

On the background of the paper I used a mask from my stash and applied some of the Silks Acrylic  Nutmeg Glaze from the Mixed Media Kit.

Nothing more beautiful then a cluster of flowers from the main kit, flower add on kit and mixed media kit.
Add on kits are available to purchase in the store.

My next layout was created using the December sketch.
Love the picture of my Grandad.  He was a Royal Canadian Mountie.

I used the Checkerboard stencil from the mixed media kit.  I mixed some of the Nutmeg Silk Acrylic Glaze with some modeling past.  I used elements from all of the kits.

There is still plenty of time to enter our sketch challenge.  You can find all of the details here.

I hope I have inspired you to create!
