August Kit with Pam

Today is my first post for C'est Magnifique using the August Kit. This kit is so romantic as you will see with my projects.

For my first project I used a wedding photo of my gorgeous daughter in law, like I said the paper is just so romantic and worked perfect for this wedding layout. I used mist on the paper, filigree, letters, tag and resin,
For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on kit, the embellishment add-on kit.

I love this layout of my sweet grand-daughter. I created my background using green paint, gesso and a honeycomb mask from my stash, prior to layering three of the same photo to create a great look. I made a few flags from the paper and from the sticker sheet. I then added clusters of flowers, wood letters and stickers from the kit .
For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on kit, the embellishment add-on kit.

I love to make cards so I created a couple from the kit.  I used a doily die I had from stash along with a piece  paper from the kit. I cut the doily in half so I could use it on both cards. The journal cards from the kit was sprayed with the mist from the kit....aren't they pretty. I love to fussy cut...so on each card there is a handmade embellishment...one of the dove, the other of the roses.
For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on kit, the embellishment add-on kit.

This has to be my favorite piece I created with the kit...an altered tray. I painted the tray and filigree from the kit with green paint from my stash. Add some of the beautiful paper and sticker border to each piece along with the beautiful flowers and resins.
For my layout I have used the main kit, the flower add-on kit, the embellishment add-on kit.

I hope you enjoyed my projects using the August Kit and loved that you stopped by, see you next time!!!! Pam

August Kit Project With Debbie

Hi everyone, Debbie here with you today to share a canvas I created using the August kit which will make its debut in a few days along with the August Flower Add On, Embellishment Add On
and Mixed Media kits.

To create the pink background on my canvas I mixed some white acrylic paint from my stash with the Heidi Swapp Color Shine Pink from the Mixed Media kit.  I lightly dabbed a butterfly stamp with some of the Dina Wakely Sky Acrylic paint from the Mixed Media kit and randomly stamped butterflies on the background.  I also lightly dabbed some of the paint around the edges of my canvas and randomly here and there.

I used the Studio Calico Bubbles mask on the background and added some stamping with a script stamp.

I used some of the Prima Caliope Chipboard Alphas from the August Embellishment Add On Kit on the background of my canvas.

I love the decorative packing that came in the kit.  Above you can see where I cut out a butterfly from a Manor House packaging and the lovely clock from the Blue Fern Studios packaging.  The butterfly is surrounded by all of the lovely flowers in the August Flower Add On Kit.

I hope I have inspired you to create!  There are August Add On Kits available to purchase in the store, and you can find them here.

Supplies used from my stash:  Gesso, Modeling Paste,  Mask, Stamp, Ink.

August Kit Projects with Tammy...

Tammy here with my projects using the August Add On Kits.  The Papers in the Add On Kit are Beautiful! The colors, floral design, and a bird here and there, I love it! I see romance in this kit so my projects went in that direction. I have three to share.

The first one is my youngest daughter on her wedding day. Hard to believe it has been five years.

                                                                     "Beautiful"

This Paper from the Paper Add On Kit is gorgeous! It would be pretty without anything added, but I used items from Flower Add On, Embellishment Add On, and Mixed Media Add On Kits. I also used some cheese cloth and distress ink from my stash.

Sticking with the romance theme, this next project is my son asking his girlfriend to marry him after a carriage ride. He had given his camera to the driver.

"She said Yes"

This was fun!  I fussy cut all the flowers and the bird. I used pop-dots for dimension. The frame was made from the strip cut off the bottom of one of the pieces of paper in the Paper Add On kit. I also used items from the Embellishment Add On, and Mixed Media Add On Kits. I used a punch and ink from my stash.

This last project is a picture of my oldest daughter. She served as a bridesmaid in my son's wedding! I have always loved this picture of her.

"Beautiful"

Again, the paper is beautiful! Besides the Paper Add On Kit, I used items from the Flower Add On, Embellishment Add On, and Mixed Media Kits. I also used some gesso, stencil, and ink from my stash.

If you love romance, or just see anything here you might like to use, it's in the store now. Thanks for stopping by!

Magnifique Mixed Media Kit and More with the August C'est Magnifique Kit!

I love to use mixed media in my projects, have you seen our GORGEOUS August Mixed Media kit? It is in the stores on sale right now and I just wanted to share a layout I did using only the Paper Add On and the Magnfique Mixed Media kit.

I have used a gorgeous paper from the Kaisercraft Storyteller collection included in the paper kit as my base. My daughter has been a part of a ballet camp for the last few weeks here, so I have used several photos of her lately in my layouts, here she is wearing a beautiful tutu that the teacher owns. I have used the Studio Calico Mr. Huey's Bubbles Mask and some molding paste to start my background. I built up color with the gorgeous Heidi Swapp Pink Color Shine and Prima Gilded Color Bloom. I used the Dina Wakely Heavy Body Acrylic Paint in Sky to add accents to the molding paste, color the chipboard and around the edges of the paper.

I have used many many Kaisercraft Storyteller die cuts to embellish the layout, along with the gorgeous Prima flowers included in the mixed media kit!

From my stash: I just used a bit of distress ink and a script stamp!!

My next layout features my youngest daughter and a garden of flowers from the Main Kit and the Flower Add On. I had a great time layering up, masking, molding paste, mist and stamping, then layering on the papers and finally the gorgeous flowers!

From C'est Magnifique: Main Kit, Flower Add On, Embellishment Add On,
and Magnifique Mixed Media Kit

From Stash: Mask, Molding Paste, Stamp

There are lots of gorgeous details in the kits, you can see items from all the add ons and the main kit here

I hope you like my layouts, thanks so much for stopping by!!!

We Welcome One More Designer to C'est Magnifique

Our second addition to the DT this month is Debbie Burns. Debbie has a lot of experience on kit club design teams and we are happy to have her joining us this month to start with the August kit.

I’m so excited to be joining the C’est Magnifique Design Team as a designer. My name is Debbie Burns and I live in the beautiful state of Maryland very near our nation’s capital, Washington, DC. I’m a single mom to two adult children, ages 24 and 27 and one precious dog, Zoey. By day I am an Assistant Project Manager for a General Contractor and in the evenings and weekends you can find me in my craft room busy creating away or outside tending to my flower gardens.

I fell in love with scrapbooking years ago when I was given a finished album, “all about me” for a birthday present. I took a couple of beginner’s classes and have been hooked ever since. I love to create shabby chic layouts which include mixed media and this past year I ventured into the world of canvases!

I currently am on the Design Team for Scrap Around the World and in the past have had the wonderful experience of being the DT coordinator for Frosted Designs. I’ve also been on design teams for Berry71bleu, Artful Delight, Purple Pumpkin, and Stuck On U Sketches.

I am looking forward to my time here at C’est Magnifique and can’t wait to share my projects with you! Would love for you to stop by my blog here.

Here is a sample of Debbie's work with our August kit:

I hope you help join us and welcome Debbie to the team!!

July Kit with Cathi

I am so excited to be joining the C'est Magnifique design team this month and wanted to share my last set of projects for the July Sweet Summer Dreams kit!

I love the very different colorways in the gorgeous Blue Fern Ombre Dreams paper, I have two very different colored layouts to share. My first uses the blue and purple colorway. I have used the Main Kit, Flower Add On and Embellishment Add On. Lots of layers here, I even used some of the packaging from flowers and the book page that came in the BoBunny ephemera collection found in the kit.I also added a gorgeous BoBunny fence stamp that was part of the Embellishment Add On.

From my stash: mask, molding paste, mists and stamps.

My next layout features a coral and teal color combination, I just love the look of that color mix!! I used the Main Kit, Flower Add On and Embellishment Add Ons to complete the layout. I think these papers work perfectly with mixed media, so I have added lots of misting masking and splashing for this one!!

From my stash: mask, molding paste, mists and stamp.

I also did three mixed media cards from the Main Kit, Flower Add On and Embellishment Add On. I really enjoyed loading up my cards with molding paste, paint and lots of flowers and embellies!!  These are all friendship themed cards, easily achieved  with the BoBunny Enchanted Garden Combo Stickers in the main kit, along with tons of flowers from the add ons.

From my stash: mask, molding paste, and stamps.

I really enjoyed playing with this kit and am looking forward to next months!!

July kit projects by Vicky Alberto

Hi, Vicky blogging today to share my creations with the truly fantastic July kit.  Soooo many gorgeous flowers selected this month and the new Blue Fern papers are out of this world - really beautiful!  Deonna put together a stellar kit for her first one as the new owner of this amazing kit club.

First up is a summer display layout for my mantle. Everything on this layout (except the vintage ladies) is from the main kit and the flower add-on. There was even some gorgeous green Shimmerz paint to polish off the chipboard as well as cute stamps too!

I used the beautiful kit sketch and rotated it like this...

Don't forget to enter your interpretation of this beautiful sketch for a chance to win a fantastic prize! See details on this C'est Magnifique blog post

My next layout features my favourite papers from the kit as well a a mixture of the gorgeous flowers in the main kit and from the flower add-on. I added a few doilies from my stash to soften around the photo but otherwise, all of the beautiful elements are in the kit. Gotta LOVE the pretty die cuts and crochet buttons - so perfect for a baby layout!

Here is a layout using the fabulous teal and purple in the kit. I made the doily circle with plain cardstock and my MS circle punch (fantastic tool!). The details in these papers are so beautiful and make creating so easy!

There is such a great variety of fun embellishments and colours in the main kit to play with so I decided to make a few cards. On this first one I added a little heart doily from my stash. I made this card for a very good friend of mine.

My second card features more of the pretty die cut stickers and pretty papers in the kit. This was made to accompany a third grade teacher gift.

For my third card, I decided to have some fun and make a double pinwheel. The embellishments in this kit are so fantastic for any type of creative project! This was made to accompany a kindergarten teacher gift.

Thanks for joining me on the blog today and see you next time with projects from the August kit!
