Inspiration Today from Erin and Keren

Welcome to the weekend everyone and Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there.  We would like to share a few projects by design team members, Erin and Keren, who both happen to be moms themselves.  Both have used our May Kit, Spring's Portrait, to create their layouts.  We currently have just 1 kit remaining in the store.

"My Rainbow to Keep" by Erin Blegen

It's amazing how long it takes sometimes to get a special photo scrapped. My sister took this picture of Aspen and myself on Aspen's 1st birthday and I've had it printed since that time (last September). This page just seemed to be "the one" to get it done :). I wanted to make it very feminine and simple and though the white space isn't my usual thing, it just felt right here.

Altered Box by Erin Blegen

I am loving doing altered projects at this moment, and this box was such a fun treat to put together! I think that "busier" patterns work great on projects like these, so I took advantage of this gorgeous paper from Les Papiers de Pandore before tackling the cluster work up top. As we draw nearer to Mother's Day, I thought this would be a nice gift for my mom...or maybe even my mother-in-law (depending on my mood- ha!).

 Classy Chick by Keren Tamir

These two little black patent shoes are my daughter's high heel shoes. She loves wearing them all the time even if its not for a party. I had to take a picture of them to remember her with these shoes at this age. She's only 6 years old but she loves dressing up as if she's much older.

 Inspirational Canvas by Keren Tamir

I made this 12x24 Canvas using the Webster pages papers from this kit and lots of mixed media techniques. I really love this quote by Helen Keller and I wanted to portray it in a canvas so I can hang it on my wall. I used lots of sprays and Acrylic paint to make branches,
leaves and bird cages on the canvas.

Have a great weekend everyone!

New Pion Design in the Store

We have just received the new "Vintage Garden" collection from Pion Designs.  We will be featuring some of this line in our August Kit, but we wanted to make it available in the store now.  We have clearly indicated which papers will be in our upcoming kit.  Head over to our Store to take a look at this new collection and our other new items.

Now we'll turn this post over to Brit and Valerie who will show you how they have used our May Kit, "Spring's Portrait"

"The Biggest Star" by Brit Sviggum

This is my friend`s son, Jesper. He loves to dress out as the famous Norwegian pirate character; Kaptein Sabeltann.  So here he is: the one and only; the big pirate star; Jesper Sabeltann !!!

"My Family" by Brit Sviggum

"The Cute Factor" by Valerie Serfozo

My niece, Makenzie, is so busy all the time, but she does have those angelic moments, too. This month's kit has so many beautiful colors and gorgeous flowers to cut out.

"Life" by Valerie Serfozo

There are two things that I'm drawn to right now - using the blue/teals in this kit, and printing my photos with a white border. I'm sure you all go through stages where you like using the same products, colors, or techniques. I love this sweet photo of my granddaughter, who just turned 16.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to enter our Bits & Pieces Giveaway, if you haven't already.

Bits & Pieces Giveaway!

Hi everyone!  Today we're giving you a chance to win Leslie's Bits & Pieces from her May kit.  She is one busy woman, and always has a lot remaining from her kit each month.  She graciously gives away what she has remaining to one of our lucky blog readers.

Before we post the details for the Giveaway, take a quick look at how design team member, Camilla, used our beautiful May Kit.

"So Girly" by Camilla Ekman

This girl is the most girly girl I know. She loves to dress up in princess dresses and high heels and she is only three. All these flowers from the kits suits her so well. LOL

"Hannah" by  Camilla Ekman

I had so much fun making this page. It is very simple, yet very flowerly. I have just used some cut-outs from one of the Webster's papers and some stamps. Of course I had to add some gorgeous flowers from the kits too.

Isn't this kit beautiful?  Here's what you can win by entering our Bits & Pieces Giveaway, which includes items from the main kit, the flower add-on and the embellishment add-on.  Since these are Leslie's bits & pieces, the winner will receive partial packages of embellishments and sheets of patterned paper that may be less than full size.

April Sketch Challenge Winners!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!  I hope you were able to carve out a little time from your day to do something scrapbook related.

Our May Kit "Spring's Portrait" has been very popular, and is quickly becoming a favorite.  We were able to put together a few more kits which are available in our Store.  A few of the items from our Add-ons are also available for purchase individually.  Here's a look at the May kit and a couple of layouts from design team member, Larissa:

"Maturity" by Larissa Albernaz

This layout portrays one reflexive moment, so I have used the journaling notecards to
find some great words about age and maturity.

"Dreams" by Larissa Albernaz

Layout created using the May sketch.

Our second prize each month goes to someone who obviously used one of our kits to create their layout.  This month (based on a random draw), Cathi O'Neill, of Ireland, is the winner of a $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique Store.  Here's Cathi's take on our April Sketch:

This month we had so many amazing layouts that it was very difficult to select which layouts to feature.  We chose 6 layouts (in no particular order) to feature this month - all of them a little different:

"Lunch" by Caroleanne of the United Kingdom

"Sweetest Thing" by Carol Pimentel de Oliveira of Brazil

"Hello" by Camila Borssoi of Brazil

"Sweet Little Angel" by Buffy Esser of the United States (Wisconsin)

"What a Wonderful World" by Tanya Pyshchyk of Ukraine

A layout about her boys by Olga of Russia

Tomorrow's post will be the May Bits and Pieces Giveaway!

Our May Sketch Challenge

Welcome to May!  We like to start each month with a new Sketch Challenge.  Our sketch designer, Michele Singh, has created another beautiful sketch for us to use, and I think you will really like this one.

We challenged our Design Team to create a layout using our May Kit and the sketch.  Our May Kit is sold out, but if you'd like to make sure you get one of our June Kits, head to our Join the Club page to get all the details.

"Treasured" by Keren Tamir

In this sketch layout, I rotated it to the side because I had imagined the layout designed this way. I really wanted to combine the turquoise tones in the kit with some brown, so I used a neutral background for the layout and some Prima packaging for accents. This picture of my son is a couple of years old but I love his smiley face here. I really like how the journaling looks on this page. Its an idea I may just have to achieve again in the future as I always run out of space for journaling once my page is finished.

"One" by Erin Blegen

We recently celebrated my niece Paisley's first birthday and let me tell you- this girl knows how to eat her cake! (If I could get away with it, this is how I would eat my sweets too!) ;)~ I'm in love with the pretty feminine pastel colors available in this kit- PERFECT for a little girl's first birthday layout.

"Cute Stuff" by Valerie Serfozo

This month's sketch was a challenge for me, but I loved working with it! This is a design that I would not have done on my own, but I like it. I sure hope you will give it a try!

"Believe" by Camilla Ekman

My most important task as a parent is to make sure my children gets self confidence and a believe that they are important. The layout is created for the May sketch.

"Smile" by Stacey Young

Now that our Design Team has given you some ideas, it's YOUR turn to create a layout using our sketch.  Our Sketch Challenge is open to everyone and you may use any supplies you have on hand.  You do not need to be a member of our kit club to participate.  Feel free to flip or rotate the sketch.

We will be offering two prizes, awarded randomly to participants in our Sketch Challenge.  The first prize is this beautiful assortment of paper, embellishments, and chipboard that Leslie has put together.  The winner of this prize package will also be able to shop in the C'est Magnifique Store, and have their purchases sent with the prize package, so that means you won't have to pay for shipping.

Our second prize, a $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique Store,  will be awarded randomly to one of our participants who obviously uses one of our kits to create their Sketch Challenge layout.
We will also chose 5 (or maybe more) layouts to feature on our blog!
You have the entire month of May to submit your layout.

What do you have to do to enter our sketch challenge?

1.  You must be a follower of our blog.  It's easy to become follower -see the left sidebar.

2.  Create a layout using the sketch, and add it to our blog using the Inlinkz tool below.  Please link to the blog post where you have uploaded your layout  (not your general blog address). If you do not have a blog, you may link to an online gallery.

We look forward to seeing your layouts!

Please Welcome our May Guest Designer

If you followed our Blog Hop last weekend, you might already know who has been working with our May Kit as our Guest Designer.  Please join us in welcoming the very talented Stacey Young.  Her beautiful style blends so well with our kits.

We'll let Stacey tell you a little about herself and share a few layouts she created using our May Kit.

"Hi, my name is Stacey Young.  I am a 31 year old stay at home mummy to 3 little boys.  I am wife to Tim of 10 years but been together since we were 15 years old......crazy to think that's over half our life together now!  We live on the Central Coast of Queensland in Australia.

I have been scrapbooking for the best part of 9 years but have got more and more into it as the years went on and my babies became my subjects.  I am a huge lover of colour but I am also influenced by the pastel/shabby look at the moment.  I love to load my pages with whatever I can get my hands, layer after layer after layer.  My pages are so thick, I find it hard to store them!!

I would also consider myself a mixed media artist, I love to get my hands messy (or my paintbrushes).  I am currently on design teams for Prima, Shimmerz and Aussie Scrap Source.  I just adore the creative process and can see myself creating for many years to come. "

Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us Stacey!  Check back tomorrow to see how Stacey and other members of our Design Team use our May sketch.
