UHK Layouts Created by Valerie

Hi, it's Valerie Serfozo today.  I'm here to share a couple of layouts that I created using the July Kit.  For these two layouts, I used the paper from UHK.  I really like the combination of black and cream.

"Homecoming"

For this first layout I chose to use a black and white photo with this striking
damask patterned paper from UHK.  The photo is of my granddaughter
and her boyfriend prior to the Homecoming Dance last fall.
I tried to stick with primarily black and cream, with a little bit of color from the peach tones.

For this layout, I have used paper and embellishments from the July kit, as well as items from the Embellishment and Flower Add-ons.

Other items used:  Viva Pearl Pen - Cream, Gesso, Green Tara Leaves, Black Soot Distress Ink

"Wonderful and Amazing"

The background musical paper I used for this layout is from the KaiserCraft portion of the July Kit paper, but I stayed with the neutral tones of the UHK paper.  This photo of my nephew is one of my favorites and it was spontaneous, which makes it even better! He was sitting on the floor,
I had the camera in my hand and said, "Hey Trevor". He looked up and I snapped.
He really is wonderful and amazing.

I have used items from the July Kit and both the Embellishment and Flower Add-ons.

Other items used: EK Notebook edge punch, Martha Stewart White Texture Effect,  Dylusions Spray (Melted Chocolate), Distress Ink - Frayed Burlap, Stampin Up Scallop Punch,  Le Pen - Marvy Black Pen, Crafters Workshop Mini Harlequin Mask.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow when we will announce the winner of the July Bits & Pieces Giveaway!

A Final Look @ the July Kit w/Erin Blegen

Hi everyone! Erin Blegen back again with you today with a last look from me at the July Kit, "Vintage Curiosities". I hope you've enjoyed the loads of inspiration from our design team over the last couple of weeks- and that you were able to snag one of these kits for yourself! Last I checked, there were still a couple left in the store. But they never last long, so get one while you can!

"Last Day Pre-K"
These papers were perfect for creating a masculine layout for my oldest son Wyatt on his last day of Preschool. He looks so grown up- and I wanted my layout to be elegant and mature; much like the little guy he is becoming :).

From my stash: stamps, mask, modeling paste

"Always Sweet"
Taking the opposite stand- here, I wanted to create a very feminine layout for my little girl :). The romantic KaiserCraft papers included in the kit are perfect for accomplishing that! I used just a hint of scraps from the UHK Gallery papers to accent with just a touch of black and white.

From my stash: stamps, masks, modeling paste

Thanks for coming over to the C'est Magnifique blog today! Be sure to check back in tomorrow- Valerie has some inspiration to share :).

And if you haven't yet, be sure to get in on the Bits and Pieces giveaway- there's just a couple of days left!

Svetlana's Projects with July Kit

Hello everyone! Svetlana is here today to bring you another portion of inspiration on how beautiful and versatile "Vintage Curiosities" kit is.

The title of this layout is in Russian and it translates as "Daughters-Mothers". It is actually the name of children's game all the Russian girls play.
Kaisercraft papers in this kit were perfect for creating the retro look I wanted to achieve to complement the photo. The cut out elements from UHK Gallery papers made this project complete.

For my layout I used papers and embellishments from the main kitas well as add-on flowers and embellishments add-on.
My personal supplies: mask, gesso, glimmer mist, stamps, paper doily, cotton thread, glossy accents, sparklet heart, self adhesive transparency and laser printer

I couldn't resist an opportunity to get really messy and create a proper masculine layout with these papers from UHK Gallery. The papers are very thick so one can really apply a lot of mediums over it.
July is also month when my husband has his birthday so I thought I will use this opportunity to create something for him and about him.

Just Because You Can...

I used UHK Gallery papers, alpha stickers and Inka Gold paint from the main kit and wooden buttons from the embellishments add-on

My personal supplies: tiny alpha stickers, die-cuts, twine, old metal buttons, metal clip, border punches, gesso, glimmer mists, stamps, embossing powder, liquid pearls, staples, and cotton thread (hand stitching)

On This Day collection from Kaisercraft was designed to help us scrap all those beautiful wedding photos so for this layout I decided to go with the theme. I still don't have a wedding album though I made a few attempts. I finished it a couple of time but every time I was not happy with the end result so I would tear it all off and start over. So far I have just a few layouts that I am satisfied with. That was a good opportunity to make one or two more.

To Love And To Cherish

I used papers and embellishments from the main kitas well as add-on flowers and embellishments add-on.

My personal supplies: glimmer mist, stamps, paper doily, paper leaves, self adhesive transparency and laser printer (for the title), liquid pearls, silk ribbons, border punch, die-cuts, and bling.

Thank you for visiting our blog today!

Don't forget about our July sketch challenge and Bits and Pieces giveaway.

July inspiration from Maja

Hi, Maja here. Today it´s my turn to show you some layouts made with the July kit " Vintage Curiosities". I have two to show you. Two totally different layouts and that's what so cool with this kit, it´s so versatile.

This first one is made with the UHK papers in black and white and a piece of Kaiser Craft paper in pink. I have added embellisment in pinks and red. I wanted to create a cool layout to match the photo of my son fooling around in front of the camera.

From my own stash I have used black and white gesso, stencil from TCW, ribbon and some gold paint.

For my next layout I have used papers in more muted colours. I wanted  the page to be soft to go with the photo of my daughter from her graduation.

For this layout I have used the main kit, flower add on and embellisment add on.

From my own stash I have used chalk, white gesso, stencil from TCW, Crackle Paint and embroidery yarn.
