August inspiration from Maja

Hi =) Maja here. Today I have some layouts to show you. Actually, 4 pieces. I start by showing two girly ones.The first one here is pretty simple.  I chosed to use just one patterned paper That I stamped on a little bit and then just added embellishment , cut out pieces from the patterned papers and photos airy across the page.

 I have used the Main Kit and Embellishment Add On.

My next layout is more layered. On this page I used the pink, reds and browns in the kit.  I just love all the butterflies in this kit! The ones you can cut out and the Prima ones. As you can see below I used up almost all of them on this page.

Here I have a more boysh one, but still romantic with lots of layered papers and embellishment. I have cut out some flowers, butterflies and birds from the papers and used them as embellishment.

Now to my last and a bit crazy page! When I saw the orange flowers my thouhts got back to my childhood... The 70:s, and the colors that was popular then (green, orange and brown). Don´t know why that came into my head.. but it did and this is how the page turned out.

Girly layouts with Camilla

Today I have three August kit projects to share with you. As usual the C'est Magnifique kits contain several fabulous flowers - easy to match. On my first layout I have used them to frame the photo of my happy niece. The flowers certainly complements the beautiful papers in the August kit.

On my next layout I have mixed the gorgeous colours of the August kit. The background paper was so pretty with the girl on the swing and I decided to add the stamped fence.

Yet another layout with the August kit where I have layered lots underneath the photo and also stamped on the background paper. The main kit also contains rub-ons which is great adding to your background. The beautiful lady on the photo is my mother.

Welcome to one of our favorite days of the month when we feature some of YOUR layouts, and announce the winners of our sketch challenge.  Before we do that, we wanted to make sure you all know that we have 2 new collections from 7 Dots Studio available in our Store.

Meet our August Guest Designer, Cathi O'Neill

We are excited to have Cathi O'Neill creating with us this month.  Cathi is well known to all of us at C'est Magnifique and has been hanging around our forum for a long time.  She is an awesome scrapper and we know you will fall in love our August kit when you see how she has used it.  Her style has certainly developed over the past year and she is being recognized for it!

We will let you get to know her a little better (if you don't already), and then we'll give you a chance to see her creativity as she shows you how she has used the August Kit. 

I am so excited to be guest designing this month for C'est Magnifique, I have been a long time subscriber and just love to see what Leslie has chosen every month!! My name is Cathi O'Neill, and I am an American (Maryland/DC area native) who married an Irishman and have been living here in Ireland since 1997. I live in a beautiful village on the Shannon River with my DH of nearly 18 years (wow, that makes me feel old!) and my two beautiful daughters, Aine (onya) 10 and Aisling (ashling) 8 who are the subject of many of my projects!!

I have always love crafting since I was a little girl. My grandmother taught me to knit and crochet and I remember sewing Barbie doll clothes with her on her front porch! I am a knitter and quilter as well, but have recently in the last two years found cardmaking and scrapbooking, and an obsession 

was born!! I truly love creating and make vintage cards to sell here in our local village cafe as well as stacks of shabby/vintage style layouts of my girls to keep and share with family! I also love to do tags, ATC and altered projects, barely a day goes by when I haven't done something crafty!!

I am currently on the design teams for several manufacturers: Couture Creations, Molossi Chipboard, Paper Wings Productions, Tresors de Luxe Etsy Shop and Paper Temptress specialty cardstock store. Our August Sketch Challenge!

Welcome to August!  Wow, it has been busy around here.  Leslie attended CHA and is trying to catch up with store orders.  If you placed an order, we want you to know that we are busy getting it filled and will ship to you as soon as possible.

We're here today with a new sketch from Michele Singh, designed especially for C'est Magnifique.  Michele created this sketch based on some of the embellishments in our August Kit, but if you're not a subscriber to our kits, we urge you to use whatever supplies you have. 

Our amazing design team has created some beautiful layouts using the sketch and our August Kit "A Day in the Park".

We can't wait to see how you will use our sketch.  The Sketch Challenge is open to all our blog readers and you may use any supplies that you have on hand.  No need to be a member of our kit club to participate.  You can flip or rotate the sketch, but please stick with the original design as much as possible.  We want to be able to see the sketch in your layout.

Each month we award two prizes.  The winners will be selected by a random draw.  This month, Leslie has decided to award an August Kit to the winner of the sketch challenge.  The winner of kit will also be able to shop in the C'est Magnifique Store, and have their purchases sent with the prize package, so that means you won't have to pay for shipping.  If you are already a subscriber to our kit club, your next kit will be free!

Our second prize, a $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique Store,  will be awarded randomly to one of our participants who obviously uses one of our kits to create their Sketch Challenge layout. 

We will also chose 5 (or maybe more) layouts to feature on our blog!
