Hi all!  Here in the States we are getting back to our routines after spending a long holiday weekend celebrating Independence Day, on July 4th.  But Leslie spent some time over the weekend uploading some new items to the Store, so I wanted to let all of you know.

Sofiero from Maja

Available in the set of 8 papers, or as individual sheets.
This is a limited edition release, so it's sure to go fast.

New Manor House Flowers and Vines

We have received some new flowers and vines from Manor House.
We just love the vines!  They are available in several colors.

We have also added quite a few new designs from Blue Fern Studios.
Here are just a couple of the new designs that have been very popular.

Now we would like to announce the winners of our June Sketch Challenge.
The winner of the prize package is:

Entry # 6 belongs to 48FiveTime.  Congratulations!  In addition to winning a great prize package, you may shop in our Store and have any purchases shipped free of charge along with your prize package.  Please e-mail: Leslie(at)Cestmagnifiquekits.com and she will give you all the details.  Your prize must be claimed within 7 days.  Here is the layout 48FiveTimes created using our June sketch:

Our second prize goes to someone who obviously used one of our kits to create their layout.  Based on a random draw of those who used a kit, Charity, from North Dakota (USA), is this month's winner of a $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique Store.  Please contact  Leslie(at)Cestmagnifiquekits.com and she will give you the gift certificate number.  Your prize must be claimed within 7 days.

Here's Charity's take on our May sketch:
Our most difficult task each month is to choose which sketch layouts to feature.  There were many beautiful layouts in June and we went back and forth on which to feature, but in the end, we chose these five layouts (in no particular order):

 "Crawling" Ujjwal Goel of India

"Happy Memories" by Francine Evans of New Zealand

"High" by Ettena A of Denmark

"Funny Face" by Amy Voorthuis of Netherlands

"Gate" by Camila Borssoi of Brazil

Wow, I just realized that we have layouts above from five different countries.  That's one of the things I love most about scrapbooking!  Thanks to ALL the participants in last month's sketch challenge.  The link on our sidebar will take you directly to our July Sketch Challenge.  We sure hope you can all come back and participate this month.

July inspiration from Camilla

The July kit "Vintage Curiosities" is a stunning kit - a combination of lovely colours and patterns. Here are some of my layouts made from the kit.

On the first layout I have used cut-out flowers and tags a lot. The title is a mix of thickers and rub-ons. I wanted to create a warm layout about my daughter and me so I used the red, orange and pink in the papers and flowers.

I have used the main kit, the flower add-on and the embellishment add-on.
From my stash: border punch and leaves

A great thing with the July kit is that there are a variety of colours to choose from. Here I have made a more manly layout using the blue, brown and black in the kit. I left the Blue Fern Studios chipboards naked because I wanted the natural brown.

All products are from the main kit, the flower add-on or the embellishment add-on.

For my last layout I used the black and the red in the kit which really makes the layout to pop. To make the photo more visable I layered a photomat using different dies.

Meet Our July Guest Designer, Emeline Seet

We are so excited to introduce you to our July guest designer, the very talented Emeline Seet from Singapore.  She has amazed us with her creativity and lovely style.  First we'll let her introduce herself and then show you how she has used our July Kit

My name is Emeline (or Em) and lives in Singapore. Having crafted for more than 8 years, I'm glad I had found my voice in paper crafting. Whether it's dabbling and experimenting with a myriad of mediums from ink, paint, mist etc., the centre and focus of my projects is always about poise, elegance, colors and letting the photos take centre stage thereby recollecting a story.

Besides scrapbooking, I love to try my hands on altered art, card making etc. I am thankful for the many opportunities that had turned this hobby into a passion that is close to my heart. Being associated with many top notch manufacturers in the industry is indeed an eye opening experience. Designing and promoting for manufacturers is one aspect in paper crafting. I am delighted to learn and experience another aspect of conducting workshops in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei  in sharing and spreading the love of this craft. bI conduct regular workshops as an instructor/designer at my local store (Papermarket, Singapore).

If my journey with this craft is described as eating different ice cream flavors, then, getting to see my own projects in print on several international magazines would be described as putting the cherry on top.  Indeed, I have grown and learned a lot through this life-long hobby. Currently, I am designing for Melissa Frances, Webster's Pages, Inkido and Scrap 365 UK Magazine.

********************************************************************************

I am intrigued by the fabulous color combination in this month's kit. Cream, black and a splash of red and dusty orange works perfectly with one another! Here on my layout, I mixed the pattern papers and cut out motifs to complement and complete the look on this page. I added the black alphabet stickers and wanted it to deliberately blend against the black pattern paper.
It is subtle and I love how it turned out.

Add-On: Kaiser Die Cut , Stamp, Rub On, Teresa Collin's Sticky Notes, Prima Wooden Buttons
Other Items Used (not in kit) : Black organza, cream cut stock scallop (die cut), white paint, doily, paper punch

Squares are one of my favorite shapes. I simply adore how accessible and easy to cut them out. On this page, I pasted pattern paper onto left over cardboard and used them as a backing for sturdy support and an added dimension on my layout. This precious picture is taken
when my daughter was a flower girl 4 years ago and created a pastel piece to
commemorate and complement the wedding theme.

Add-On: Kaiser Die Cut , Prima Wooden Buttons
Other Items Used (not in kit) : Martha Stewart Paper Punch, Cardboard, Distress Ink

I must say, the highlight of this layout will have to be the arm chair die cut. I've always loved arm chair motifs this cut out of the element is so pretty and in my favourite color , cream! This picture is perfect, with my daughter lying on our own arm chair at home.

Add-On: Kaiser Die Cut , Stamp, Rub On
Other Items Used (not in kit): White eyelet, white paint, Martha Stewart Paper Punch.

The picture was taken on my daughter's 9th birthday. It's a tradition (like many parents) to take a picture every year and I used a pastel combination to remember this milestone. The die cuts on the add-on kit is so versatile and can be easily used as a platform to layer. Alternatively, I used the die cut with a foam dot for instant dimension.

Add-On: Kaiser Die Cut
Other Items Used (not in kit): Doily, Stickles, white paint, Martha Stewart Paper Punch.

Emeline, it has been such a joy to have you create with our July Kit!
